Did you check your clues to see if it is there? That happened to me too, but it is only because I had 10 candies and I didn't get the clue for two days. So when I got 10 candies again, the next clue thinger never popped up.

I managed to get the lunar staff, still no clues though.

Its not that big a deal to me but it would be alot easier then trying to find hints from everyone else ;o;.
