For my entry, I decided to depict a sunflower in a garden. The sash is water coming out of the sprinklers. The blue throughout the avatar is water dripping from the sunflower onto the ground. Among the sunflower are red lotuses, as well as some white roses.

This flower is called the Rafflesia, but is more commonly called the Corpse flower due to the fact that when it blooms (once a year) it smells like a rotting corpse. This is why I felt the zombie skin and the pool of blood fit in quite nice XDD

Narrative: Helvia Corpulence is a (in)famous singer in the steampunk era. Known as "Lady Helvi" by her fans, she is known to have a love of dressing eccentrically both on and off the stage. "Nay" says she to the subdued tones usually worn by steampunk society. Her dyed hair and love of bold contrasting colors seem to speak for her personality before she herself even opens her mouth. She is loud and proud and not afraid to speak her mind. She is perhaps... okay, DEFINITELY not accepted by the elders of the Victorian-steampunk society she lives in, but there are those among the younger steampunkers who enjoy and even embrace her style.

Her music is as varied as the different elements in her wardrobe, ranging from soft, crooning love songs to upbeat, rocking numbers. She likes to have a very hands-on approach to everything about her show, from writing her songs to hand-making some of her costumes (the wings she currently sports are the latest hand-crafted additions to her show wardrobe) to creating the clockwork "boogie bugs" that follow her as she struts around the stage. They were made to cast two different spotlights down upon her that change colors according to the moods of the songs she sings.

Narrative: Introducing Mary Charleston. She is the only child of the Charleston family, and because of that she has many responsibilities as the next heir. Mary loves airships, and recently got done traveling through Europe. She lives in an alternate universe in Victorian England, during the 1800's. Her family is a noble family, and her grandmother was a famous inventor.

She is carrying a book because she loves to read, and is quite intelligent. The book has an electronic device in it that shows 3D images. As most people know steam punk is called thus because steam helps powers most machines. Needless to say Mary is quite used to being around steam. Mary has a robotic golden ducky, because it is just the fashionable thing to do to carry around artificial pets. Mary is also slightly gothic, in fact normally she wears all black, but for this contest it was decided that it would be more desirable for her to have more color. She's wearing her family insignia on her hat.

Mary still lives in a very traditional world, where the women still normally wear skirts has her hair tied back. Mary wanted to stand out a bit more so she decided to give herself some popular curls. Of course it is also proper of a woman to wear make up. Mary's smiling for you, though really she's quite nervous about modeling these clothes for you all.

((She's actually based on the main character of one of my stories(Which has steam punk in it), so I was trying desperately not to overwrite this with useless information. I'm pretty sure I won't win but it was fun!))
