So how come users aren't allowed to state when another user is being rude? Or is it just because we don't sugar coat it?

I'm just wondering. Because really I think if we had told her in a way that was so thick in sugar coating that she couldn't even understand what it was she was being told, then that wouldn't been just fine.

Though it would've been entirely pointless and wouldn't have served its purpose at all.

Iltu: Thank you! And yep, my avatars are almost always my characters, or some incarnation of them. Or simply based off of them in some way, shape, or form. Sometimes I'm inspired by everyday things, though. But the ideas come out in an abstract way.

The character my avatar currently is is the human son of one of my vampires. I'm quite pleased with how he's turned out -- both as a character, and as an avatar.

My avatars are usually characters, too, actually. ^^; *steals some of Twinnybug's thunder*

The one I'm doing at the moment is just for the flower end of the avatar contest. ^^; But I've been wearing an RP character of mine for a while and I think I'm off to go put that back on. I feel a wee bit daft.

Frankly, telling someone they're rude (repeatedy, I might add) is rude. Arguing about distractions is distracting. This simply isn't the place for it.

Itlu: Well, yes and no. This is a cosplaying version of him. He's big into steampunk, but really he's an eighteen year old college student in the modern day, who spent literally every spare moment of his summer to make the girl he had a crush on a functional clockwork mouse that performs three different actions and also has a very nice box to keep it in.

He's also one of those shy guys that if he gets too embarrassed he blushes so badly that his nose will bleed because the inner skin is thin and gets overwhelmed by the sudden influx of blood.

Belly: The way she was behaving was making the thread less fun. How is she to understand that unless people tell her that in a way she can understand?

*Hime*: It's not about the contest itself, it's about behavior during it that was distracting in a negative manner. And then someone utterly complaining about their own behavior and about not doing well in the game. We're here to have fun. Who cares if we do well? It's a game, let's have fun.

Sore losers often ruin things for other people. Which is how I was feeling. I'm not being a sore loser. I got a couple guesses in. Hangman is fun. And I'm happy for my Twinny for being brilliant and winning so many rounds.

But the people who complain and complain that they're not doing well just really ruin any fun vibe there is. Can't we be happy for the winner? Can't we say 'I'll have to try harder next round' instead of saying 'I did horribly' and attaching excuses for doing so?

Well I cursed a couple times too during this contest. Everyone has a competitive side to them, I think. I'm not sure if I saw anyone being a disruption really, I think all games were played fair and were a lot of fun (:

We appreciate your concern for the game, but as Belly and I are the ones running this game, we will deal with any problems that may arise.
As you are not on staff or running this game, confronting another user publicly comes off as a bit rude, and it's making this thread quite tense, don't you think? I'm gonna quote you here if you don't mind...

If you feel someone is not playing fairly, you are more than welcome to privately message a moderator to make them aware of the situation, and we will deal with it as is necessary. That is, of course, not necessary at this time, as we are aware of the situation.

The situation will be dealt with as we see fit. However, if you feel further comments to BellyButton or I are necessary, you're free to PM either one of us. But we'd both really appreciate it if this would be the last public post regarding it. :)
