Lostin: It's funny about the 666 thing....I actually remember seeing in a documentary that the actual number in that part of the bible was around 516 and this number came later, when all these people somewhere in Europe decided to discard all the parts of the bible which'd not help them gaining power...

Lostin: Neither do I, and I can't remember anymore what my teacher said about it... all I know is that white is purity, red is love, but also anger and black is death... but maybe also rebirth.....

We also had to find places in the bible that the fairytales reminded us of... that or we'd have to do a Freudian analysis >_>

I remember learning about Freud in my psychology class a few years ago.
He's sort of considered a joke now, isn't he?

He just made them up without any proof or studies. o.O;

I think the problem with Freud is, that he lived at a time, where women was seen as hysterical if they didn't want to do what men told them to, or dared to think for themself...also he's a man, so of course everything would be about sex according to him >_>


Lostin: It actually is 516, also the 666 doesn't make any sense at all, it can't number wise be analysed into anything, and these were professional archeologists (it's not a Dan Brown theory if that's what you think) you see the problem with all "Holy Books" is that it is written and edited by humans...

In my psychology class, we were presented with the three main theories:

1. psychoanalysis (Freud's stuff)
2. behaviorism
3. humanism

The professor tried to give them all equal credit, but it was obvious that he believed in humanism, and thought psychoanalysis was crazy.

That's prolly what most people nowdays believe.

I prefer Kognitive psychology... it works... it did for me anyway... since it's more concentrated about results and changing people's mindset than the the psychoanalysis which are concentrated mainly about your childhood, and since there was no problem in my childhood, and my problems didn't origin from anything sex related, it was pretty hard to use it... my problems came later on...

@Lostin: We followed the same curriculum.
Our teacher did state that most people did not believe Freud's theories, including psychologists.

Personally, I just believe in the science-y stuff because it's actually real, lol.
And it's not psychology--it's really just biology that's being taught in psych classes.
