One whole semester dealing with Magnetism??
Geebus! I... I don't even remember what I learned about magnetism.

What is Magnetism?

The properties of magnets, probably some magnetic fields (runs from magnetic north to magnetic south), the effect of magnets on protons and electrons, how to magnetize.....

But I learn physics stuff at a much lower level than Min.

@Hatake: Iit's geomagnetism, to be exact. We just call it magnetism for short. :3

@Mina: I've been saving my power hour for so long I actually could have gotten a second one now if I had just used it when I first got it. 8D;;

Geomagnetism = Magnetism of earth, like its magnetic field that shields us from deadly space waves?

@Suona: The weather's been really good here. Depending on your view I guess; I love how weather, my mom and friends are complaining. XD


Geomagnetism is basically the study of how rocks at a certain spot (or all over, I guess) the Earth have reacted to Earth's magnetic field, mostly in the past. I mean the current magnetic field of the Earth is studied as well but the main point is to;
a) Find what types of rocks there are at certain places without having to dig it up;
b) Find out how Earth's field has changed in the past since it leaves traces on the rocks while it does so.

That about sums it up I think. XD

@ Lejic - Where do you live at? I live in California, and its the end of May and supposed to be sunny and warm, but we've had a lot of rain and clouds and cold and wind. It really sucks. The weather is extremely confused.

@Suona: I live in Istanbul, Turkey. California is like my dream place to live (the whole state almost, but I probably wouldn't want to go too North)!

lol I live around central Cali. A little more North. And yeah, it can be pretty nice. The weather usually sticks pretty well to the seasons. South is warmer, but a pretty rough place.
