Haha. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are two of the biggest reasons why I hate the movies. They're the most poorly casted characters of the entire cast of the films. Kristen Stewart does absolutely nothing to make Bella seem less annoying, and Robert Pattinson is not nearly beautiful enough to play Edward. He's weird looking and acts like he's constipated in every one of his scenes.
I don't get why people like his hair so much either. It always looks dirty >> |
Urgh, I hate bad casting SO MUCH. Seriously, bad actors can ruin a perfectly good story. ,:/
Like in the Time Traveler's Wife. AUGH. I love the story, I loved the way they filmed it, but the actors nearly ruined it for me. |
I haven't seen that one yet. I'm not a huge Eric Bana fan (isn't that who they got to play the guy?), but I do like Rachel McAdams. She's kind of a riot. I loved her in Sherlock Holmes!
|
@bri: Oh, lol... I just finished watching that movie before I got on tonight. What a coincidence. I've never read the book so I wouldn't know the difference, but I didn't see anything wrong with the acting.
@seiki: ..D: bad casting is the worst.. I totally agree with you as far as those two go |
I was happy with their casting for Jasper, Jessica, and Victoria #1. Everyone else is either so-so or should never have been cast.
|
@Seiki- I've never seen Eric Bana (yeah, that's who they casted) in anything before, so I can't say, but normally I love Rachel McAdams. *q* She just wasn't great in that movie. :/ I haven't seen Sherlock Holmes yet, but I want to SO BADLY.
I find I like the actors they choose for secondary characters better than leads. Maybe it's because they feel they need to choose well-known actors for leads, and well-known doesn't necessarily equal good actor. @Aeon- Iunno, just... Henry never said anything with emotion. It seemed really monotonal to me. Clare wasn't bad, but she wasn't the best. |
Eric Bana played Captain Nero in Star Trek and the Hammer Head shark in Finding Nemo xD
|
Why do you know so much about movies all the time, Seiki? D:< And you can't expect me to recognize him when I'd only ever seen him covered in prosthetics/lacking hair/as a shark. xD
|
Because I watch a lot of movies? I don't know. I used to go to the movie theatre once or twice a week when I was in high school, and then at least once a week after I graduated so I kind of kept up with movies for a long time. And what I didn't see in theatres I downloaded and watched at home. And when I'm bored, I like to go on IMDB and read movie/actor trivia and review what movies actors have been in and if I've seen them to pass the time.
|
Ah, really? That sounds like a pretty awesome pasttime. C:
|
Yay steampunk~! And all the steampunk avatars. :3 This is gonna be great~!
|
@Seiki: Personally, I think the actress who plays Alice is absolutely stunning. She makes an adorable Alice, and she's beautiful.. lived up to my favorite character quite well IMO.
@Bri: *nod nod* I can see that... I was more trying to follow what was going on than pay attention to them I suppose. Also, I tend to like supporting characters in general more than main characters.. ^^; Not so much the actors who play them, just the characters themselves. |
Its something to do. I don't go as often anymore because its expensive and I don't have the money so I download a lot of movies xD But I still do like browsing IMDB quite frequently.
Aeon, Ashley Green is pretty, and with the right wig (like she had in New Moon) she works well enough. I wish that she had a bigger part in New Moon like she was supposed to, but oh well. I'll have to make due with what she gets to do in Breaking Dawn and hopefully she does do a lot of the stuff they have her do in the book for Eclipse. I want to see her kidnap Bella and give her a pedicure xD |
Wow, theres been heaps of posts since I left.
|
@Aeon- Ah, yeah. That movie was hella confusing what with the timejumps. xD
And I agree. In pop culture especially, the supporting characters are often the more interesting/quirky ones. @Seiki- Yeah, I know what you mean. >_>; The cost of movies is probably why I never really got obsessed with them... thank god for Netflix, tho. <3 |
I do love my Netflix! <3
|
Yeah, she really hasn't played a very big part period in the movies. That's probably why she hasn't disappointed me yet, lol.. because she hasn't really been there to do anything disappointing. At this point, I'm just going to see the movies so I know what to complain about. <.<; as sad as that is..
.o. hmm.. looks like I gotta go guys, it's been fun talking with you~ |
yeah, I'm buying my ticket for the midnight showing of Eclipse on Tuesday, so yay for that!
And we'll talk to you later Aeon! Bye!~ |

You can't wheat, Jelly_Bean? Do you have coeliac disease?
|

|
I think Sense was just playing with you. We knew what you meant : )
|
It's not 'what', either, Jelly. You spell just fine! But these aren't the words you're looking for.
---------- Yes, I'm being silly. Bonus points to anyone who knows what movie I'm parodying. |
oh then jelly don't know what to say o_-
|
Well you were trying to say you can't wait, right? o_O Misunderstandings like this are why Sense uses spell check and makes sure she writes what she's trying to say.
