Because Kinny is Aspie, he has a hard time looking at people's faces when he talks to them... and people there are really friendly and he lives in a small town, so they all greet him. D8; Then Kinny freaks because he doesn't recognize them but they're being friendly. D8;

aaah! my son is MUCH better about his eye contact. thanks to being in special classes and therapy for the past 2 years. it's amazing the difference! but sometimes we still have problems with him not wanting to make eye contact.

I do that, but for different reasons. I just don't like people. XD

I have some agoraphobia issues myself. those over chipper people really freak me out sometimes.

Kinny can make eye contact while having a chat with someone, but rarely when just greeting someone... it's like... look at face, get greeted, greet back and quickly look away. >3>

@Crazy: Did you know Asperger's runs in familes? =D

I'm mainly afraid of men. Especially if they act like they find me attractive. >w>

yeah, I knew that. I just know I'm not aspie ... well, I have a lot of other problems, but I don't think aspie is one of them ... at least those who have evaluated me and my son seem to agree ...

I didn't mean aspie is a bad thing. aspie is so misunderstood in today's society. heck, everything is really. I meant like all the pieces of everything are separate I think ... I don't know. my brain is full of jello right now. though it would be nice to get through the day without having to take meds to give me the extra oomph I need to control myself ... am I making any sense? I don't think I am. :(

I can sort of relate. I don't think I have Aspergers but I can be socially awkward. I'm shy but working at a grocery store has helped me alot. I'm a lot more social and I talk to people. Lately, I've been looking people in the eyes. :) It makes me anxious but I have to do it if I want to get better at talking to people. I use get anxious when I went up to a cash register. It still makes me a little uncomfortable, but now a little less than it use to.

That's really good. It's hard though.

I have a service dog I take with me wherever I go. my sister refuses to be seen in public with me without my dog. I am just too over the top.

Kinny should put on a sweater or something instead of just running around in a dancing skirt. :yes:

Also, Kinny is glad he is getting over his uneasiness in social stuffies. He needs to so that he can get job. 8D
