Don't know anything about cars so I can't join in with the conversation :(

well, my first rig was an '86 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton pickup. I learned as much about it as I could because when I went away to college I wasn't gonna be able to just call my dad up for help.

the car I'm driving now is my mom's '75 Ford Maverick ... I had the oil changed at Christmas and my dad said he had just had that done. I asked mom when he had "just had that done" ... she said it was about 2 years ago. I also replaced the battery at the same time which my dad said he had just had done. so I asked mom when he had done that and she said about 6 years ago. my dad's idea of having things on a rig "just done" is nuts.

"Cars go vroom vroom!" is the extent of Flink's car knowledge. XD

Flink should learn a bit more about cars, since her truck is getting old. It's a '99 ford ranger. But most of its problems are from Flink driving 90 miles round trip at her old job and for school and then 100 round trip for her current job.

She had to replace the brakes completely since they went out on her on Valentine's day. Then she had the whole front end redone, the ball bearings and whatnot because they were about to give.

I am the only one, I think, in my entire apartment complex that owns jumper cables let alone how to use them.

if you know nothing about cars, but wanna be able to be of some help to somebody who is trying to help you, have jumper cables, a spare tire with jack and tire iron, a jug of oil, and a jug of coolant in your trunk. themz just basic stuffs that will always come in handy.

Aw, what's wrong? Flink doesn't like being pounced all that much.

Flink knows how to use jumper cables. She'll probably need to buy a pair since her truck doesn't start first try sometimes.

when I got my drivers license I told my brother how much I love to drive! he said in a year or two I won't feel that way anymore. here it is over 15 years and probably over 100,000 miles later and I STILL love to drive!

Flink HATED to drive when she first got her license. She's warmed up to it since then.

She still hates driving in thick traffic which was what she had to do a lot when she first started driving.

If he humps your leg Flink'll hose him for you.

I hate rush hour traffic. it takes too long and everybody gets real mad and does stupid things.

@Crazy: Hehee, that's very odd. I'm kind've the same way though. I used to keep a piece of paper in the glove box of my first car with all kinds of information on it including what kind of oil / air filters it took, blah blah blah.

Hello Flink, hello Gary.

Let's see... My first car was a '90 pontiac sunbird, which I inherited from my grandpa. It had to have the entire engine replaced, and then my sister blew a rod in said engine by trying to drive it like a race car :roll:

Next was a Dodge Stratus. I got rid of that shortly having the throttle position sensor replaced. That was nuts. The car borked and tried to kill me! I had to pull the e-brake and put the car in park just to get it to stop! :stare: :vein:

And now I have a 92 S-10, which I can't even drive because it's been sitting since 2007, waiting for my sister to sign over the title to me....

Now, the only thing I drive is a big 'ol freightliner tractor trailer rig. (company truck, not mine)


I grew up in the country though, so city driving is tough for me.
