I tried Ernya and Kinsaki. But I didn't like how easy it was to earn gold on Ernya and Kinsaki was just too slow for my liking. From what I have seen so far Mene is the perfect medium :)

I couldn't stand Gaia, took my money and ripped me off then wouldn't even help me recover items that were stollen. *Blah* the people there were lame too, not a single person I spoke to on there was plesant. I love Mene so much more!

Hm. I find that I like Gaia's avatars more and their avatar system is in general better. It's easier to dress up, there are more clothes, et cetera.

But the people on Gaia are horrible, I agree with you there Gary.

Gaia has been around a lot longer than Mene though hasn't it? So it is understandable that they have more items, but once Mene is around for that long they will have a simmilar ammount of items :)

How did it rip you off, Lixlaria? I've never heard of a problem like that. I know sometimes the people on Gaia rip you off, or scam/hack you, but the never the site itself. :s
That really sucks though.

yah, I don't really reccommend either Ernya or Kinsaki. Though both sites have some great features. I love the site artwork on Ernya and I think Kinsaki's idea of creating a Forge was awesome.

But yeah...they didn't really float my boat.

I used to be a mod on gaia. trust me ... It's not a place to have fun. I would also strongly urge children to avoid it. I was modding the GD once and saw a show off your <insert male reproductive organ here> thread.

It already had like 30 something people contributing to it too.

I don't feel like talking about Avatar sites.
Roli was a little too... stringent, with the posting rules. I was in my quest thread, just messing with the colors (each letter a different color, um gradient). And I got a warning from a mod. The [ color ] bit adds characters which makes you more gold and appparently that was against the rules. Make me feel like an idiot, that's a good way to drive me off.

Zan is okay, but I consider it slow.

Gaia is too hung up on Evolving items and Cash shop items. The last items releases were inconsequential.

There was another, but I'm more a lurker and wasn't interested in trying to earn gold by posting.

Pets and weapons- no matter what site, there should be a shop for both.
