They are both very beautiful places.
I also want to go China to see the terracotta warriors. I want to go to France to see the Palace of Versailles. I think the Eifle tower is overrated but that's probably just me.
I just would love to travel everywhere! I am quite a fan of it..... Next on my list of places to go is a cross country trip to Oregon and back to Connecticut. After that, I am saving my $$ for Europe.
I am driving to Oregon in August if all goes well :3 |
Same here; I want to go to Africa, South America (A little cheaper), and the middle east.
I would love to go anywhere out of the country. I'm really interested in other cultures. It's fascinating to me to learn about people and places that are so different from what I'm used to.
South America! yes, I would love to go to Peru, and I want to go to Central too (specifically Costa Rica, since they have some cooool volcanoes!)
I want to see how others live, I want to open my mind to the world.
---------- The Aztecs and Mayans interest me. I also want to see the rain forest and exotic animals. |
I would love to see the Amazon Rainforest, although I'd be worried about how well I would fare there. I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to nature. xD
But I would really love to go see Egypt. All that history. And I find it amazing that after all these years the pyramids are still in tact. Those Egyptians really knew their stuff. |
I love nature and I want to see monkeys and tropical birds.
Yeah.... well, it seems that everything is going down in a hand basket *coughoilspillcough*
So, better enjoy the beauty while we still care to preserve it....... makes me so angry |
Yeah, it's a real shame. It makes me sad enough to see farms where I live taken over to build new housing and stores and such. And don't get me started on pollution...
I try to and I believe many individuals are finally taking steps to help the environment but businesses are not. Well at least not the big corporations. Their main objective is to make money and everything else is secondary. The government needs to keep businesses in line or they will get out of hand.
:( I just hope that I can still go on my trip if gas prices don't get out of hand. I am thinking about asking my grandpa if he wants to swap cars while I go, since he has a hybrid.....
I love how it is now trendy to use your own grocery bags! we were doing that where I went to school for a long while, and it finally trickled back home! |
I work at a grocery store, so I can attest to that.
Gas prices can get pretty ridiculous. I hope that one day we'll all have solar-powered cars (and hopefully before the whole world is covered in pollution so we can't even see the sun anymore *rolls eyes*).
I'm an optimist, I believe we will. Part of that has to do with gas prices. People want solar powered cars because it's cheaper. Money talks.
it makes me happy! I have a bunch from school I always used, and I use them all the time.
even if I have to get plastic, we reuse them at home nonstop anyways at least. i would love if plastic bags at the store were phased out entirely. money talks, which is why, sadly, we still have gas powered cars. the oil industry makes too much money to let that go, otherwise, i think we would have had more car options sooner than what is happening.... |
That would be nice. Or at least I would hope more people would save their plastic bags and use them when they go to the store again.
yah! makes more sense.
but, soo many ppl refuse bags now. I like it. it is a little step, but i think it has a big influence |
@Twethereal: Some people do.
@Woodlandnymph: That's true. But the price of gas I think will get people to act. People will either find other resources that are cheaper than gasoline. |
:cries: maybe I can walk to oregon? it's not that far after all O.O
I can't even remember when the last time I saw them using paper bags in the grocery store was. That's a really good thing.
And they are learning how to recycle more and more things now. My family usually has more in the recycling bin than in the trashcan nowadays. It feels good. |
i wish connecticut offered more recycling options... vermont recycled everything!!! it was glorious!
The fact more people are using cloth bags is why I'm optimistic. People are finally aware of the consequences of not taking care of the earth.
yah, and don't get me wrong, I am a very optimistic person,
but sometimes I see things that people do I wonder if we can all change...... I would LOVE it if we did, lol. Almost EI time!! |
