Superstition (Continued):

There in HQ is where you do your jobs. I see you've got engineer as your primary, so yes, that's where you click 'Repair'. But sometimes it doesn't need repaired, so it will tell you to come back later.

Amaitae:

Yes, that was suggested by fairywaif in a different thread a little while ago--

You know, I didn't think of that before. No wonder I feel so useless! They really need to balance out the ratios. Make flowers heal less, gears take more FP and spanners do more damage. Hopefully that would balance it, and not make it too hard to fix to get the event items.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:31 PM

I see. Well, I'm just putting it out here so the staff might see it. The more it's mentioned, the more attention is brought to it.

Linnea 05-27-2010 03:35 PM

i also think that would help to make the game more fun... after all, it is supposed to be fun, ya know?

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:37 PM

Playing devil's advocate real quick, one could argue that deceasing the traffic would increase the amount of seeds given out, but that could also be counter-acted by giving out only .1 seeds instead of .25/.5 .... or making EIs more expensive.

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 03:38 PM

Yes but the problem is that not very many people at all can even -get- seeds, and at the rate we're going we're going to have some very, very, very pricey resell values for the event rares this time, as not everyone will have been able to get even one set.

Jeannesha 05-27-2010 03:39 PM

Do we know how many seeds it will take to get a full set of event EI's?
The last few events they told us, but I didn't see it in the FAQ here.

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 03:41 PM

51 total, I believe it said.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:43 PM

They're probably working it out, but assuming the prices will rise by 10s, (10 seeds, then 20 seeds, etc.) it should be 100 seeds total. I'd collect more than that though just to be safe.

Is it really 51? that seems cheap.... It's only day 3 and I'm already up to 75. I know other people have much more.

The_Crow 05-27-2010 03:44 PM

They broke it down by day and the total on the front page now:

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:45 PM

Oh. Thank you Crow.

Jeannesha 05-27-2010 03:47 PM

Hey, thanks guys.
It wasn't there when I read the FAQ. I'm glad they put it in now.
51 seeds...what an odd number.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:49 PM

I thought they'd do the whole increasing-price-by-10s thing... i mean, the event goes on for a week, and 3 days into it, i have 75 seeds... and i'm not constantly on Mene. This seems very off-balance.

Keyori 05-27-2010 03:51 PM

Not everyone can be on as much for the whole event. It did start during a weekday, after all, and a lot of users have school or jobs to worry about still.

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 03:53 PM

I'd also wager you weren't here during the peak glitch time. Not to mention people are also trading their seeds for credits. And some people can't be online a lot. I'm having to work hard to get enough for two people, as my best friend (an avid Mene-collector) is in the hospital today and will be recovering from surgery for the next few days.

I'm doing just about all right with that....

I'm also staying at home sick and have been for the past month and a half. Not everyone can be online every moment they're not asleep, which is what I've been doing.

Vickyll3 05-27-2010 03:54 PM

Oh I'm glad they put up how much seeds for a total set
Hopefully I can get a full set it doesn't look to expensive at all

Amaitae 05-27-2010 03:59 PM

Actually, I was here yesterday when the big glitch hit, and was posting stuff and running "tests" along with Ode.

Either way, all things equal, as I've stated before, if the damage/repair/replenish stats were balanced out a little better, and the seed rate remained the same, it would be a lot easier to obtain seeds, even for the people who do not get on Menewsha very often because of work/school/etc due to increased chances of actually being able to participate.

TheOmnicide 05-27-2010 03:59 PM

I seem to be having a problem with the toolbar on the bottom. It doesn't show any of the currency so I never really know what I have. I'm running Windows 7 and my browser is Firefox.

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 04:01 PM

Uh oh. Looks like we're back to this glitch again:

Did you leave your basket of flowers in the garden? You can't fill the machine with air and expect it to work.
I have 98 flowers.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 04:02 PM

it seems to work for me Sense :/

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 04:04 PM

And it's working for me again now as well. That seems to be an intermittent error that 'try again immediately' seems to fix.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 04:06 PM

Was the FP counter very close to full? like, at 4997? Someone probably beat you to replenishing, and when your action was sent to it after theirs, it returned that message cuz the counter was already full.

That's what happens to me sometimes. You just gotta wait until the FP counter has dropped again.

Amaitae 05-27-2010 04:14 PM

Yep. Simple page-update/server time issue. It's too bad we don't have instantaneously updating web pages yet :XD

Sensible Cricket 05-27-2010 04:14 PM

*tests this theory* Ah hah, I see I see. I'm used to my primary profession's error message--

Quote:

The machine's HP is at optimal levels, so we don't need any more Gears at the moment. Relax and take a break.
I thought that there would be a matching gardener's error message.

No, I think it's that multiple people act at the same time, so when you hit your button the gauge is already full. A good way to tell is you go right back to the HQ and see if that gauge is full. It usually will be. Also they won't let you fill it up if it's over the amount of healing power that is needed in the gauge. For instance if you can give 4HP to machines using gears, you have to wait until it gets down to 9996 at the least to be able to use them. I assume same goes with flowers.

Whoops, seems like everyone covered this, haha. The message is meant to be funny, slightly sarcastic.
