No warnings. Nothing. Many of them are user avatars. Many are posted as "stamps" on people's pages. There is one that is commonly posted in large blocks in comments or on people's pages as a troll tactic, or just for fun by those who are unaware of the risk and think it amusing.
This is, quickly counting, the fifth time this year something of this kind has happened to me. I have reported it and stated why on multiple occasions. Nothing has happened. I was told nothing could be done. My physical resilience is better than average - the next time I run across something like that I am tempted to stand out on my tile floor in an open area and just let whatever happens take its course. Get a report from the paramedics, fax THAT to dA, tell them to put that in their pipes and smoke it. Unfortunately, this would be rather drastic, as I would lose my driver's license, quite possibly for life, and I might be injured more severely than I could anticipate. It would not be the logical thing to do. |

Crown--wow, you are spot on. (apparently you too Fantasia) Yeah looking for something...not hot pink...but "cherry" I think is the word they call it. The image quality and brightness of my monitor is INSANE so I'm seeing everyone's avatars very vividly and there is a huge distinction between a lighter pink and a darker one...OH but you're wearing the lighter pink. I might get the cherry one...it matches more in color. Thanks for showing me again. |
What usually sets it off? Like, is it bright flashes of colors? or just sever saturation contrasts?
I'm kind of curious, 'cause I have several friends who have epilepsy, but none of them go on dA or anything. |
aye those are expensive though (for me). Don't think I'll purchase. I have no idea if those will equip over a long shirt like this one.

Eh, It's not that hard, Ode, all I have is a basic grasp of color theory and composition (both of which I tend to fail at in my own drawings. Fail /spectacularly/)

Aiyah! That is rather drastic, and I get the feeling that dA would still brush it off. They're large and corporate, to the point where they don't really care about their users. If its that dangerous, try finding an alternative to dA. That's been on my to-do list for awhile now, but i haven't had any luck so far >.< |

We've known people that use the word as part of their everyday vocabulary, when it's not warranted. The power of WIN is great, but when abused...it is damn UGLY.

"EPIC" in conjuction with "WIN" (as well as "EPIC" itself, along with EPIC FAIL) are considered mortal sins to my fiance..and he's atheist, haha. But sins no less! I would have to agree. But only about those who abuse the power.
