ooooo I bet it is hot there!!!

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 05:29 PM

Well, I was reading, because I want to reread the Harry Potter series--I haven't done that in awhile, but I wanted on Mene more :P

----------

It was hot here. Friggin humidity. But it's nice today, not hot, not cool :)

pumibel 05-30-2010 05:30 PM

Have you read the Percy Jackson books? My daughter was reading all day and I actually had to make her stop to go to bed!

Roxxxy 05-30-2010 05:31 PM

Its hot here too

----------

So close the the end of the mission!

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 05:31 PM

I want to but I've seen the first movie and my friend warned me the movie was nothing like the book. But since I saw the movie first, maybe it won't be so bad

pumibel 05-30-2010 05:31 PM

yeah it is here too, but not as muggy as yesterday. We had a lot of rain past few days. I hate being in the sun!

Dottie Mae Evans 05-30-2010 05:33 PM

Well I am sure it is hot, hadn't been outside yet. But yeah... it is hot. I am sure it is in the 80s. :P

It is 86F degrees in Miami. :D!

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 05:33 PM

I was actually getting tired of the rain--it turns our yard into a marsh -.-

sadrain 05-30-2010 05:33 PM

Thanks Roxxxy. x3 <3

pumibel 05-30-2010 05:33 PM

In my experience the movies are never as good as the books. All I know is that my girl really doesnt read a lot- mangas and magazines- but she read those books so fast I couldnt believe it. I need to get her #7 now. They are not small books either. Not as long as the HP books, but thick.

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 05:36 PM

I don't doubt it :)
Has she read the Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke?
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (there are at least two sequels to that one)?
The Children of the Lamp series (Four books in that series now)?
Um... what are some other good ones...?
How to train your dragon is good.
Tithe, Valiant and Ironside, by Holly Black.
What manga has she read?

pumibel 05-30-2010 05:46 PM

Thanks for those titles- no she has not read them. Sometimes she gives me grief when I tell her to read. I guess I should try the new books and see how she likes them. I loved fantasy novels at her age too, so I will try to get more of the new books for her and see how she likes them.

Fantasia 05-30-2010 05:48 PM

I am baaack!
And I missed yet another day of the event... Sad...

I'm very excited though since that means I have a life!
xD
And I am also hyped up over the fact that I'm going to the drive in tonight with some friends. ^^

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 05:50 PM

there are still drive-ins where you are, Fantasia?
You're welcome Pumi :) Those are a few of my favorites, I can't think of any more right off the top of my head.

Fantasia 05-30-2010 06:04 PM

Yup! I'm excited since I haven't ever been to one, so yea : )
I'm quite glad we moved now that stuff is starting to happen xD

----------

And I must say I LOVE the shave afrodonkey idea... hahaha...

pumibel 05-30-2010 06:10 PM

i saw ET at a drive-in in the 80s. SO much fun- tells my age LOL

Fantasia 05-30-2010 06:12 PM

Ahahaha... Wow. I guess that sure does tell your age.
We are gonna see the new Shrek movie..

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 06:12 PM

That's not that old at all. My mom's older than that :P She already had three kids by then (not me yet, or my younger sibs)

Fantasia 05-30-2010 06:16 PM

I know it isn't THAT old, it just seems the majority of the people you run into on here are like... Teens. So going off of online age, that is xD
My mom is waaaay older thank that... hahaha...

pumibel 05-30-2010 06:18 PM

Oh I know I am older than most people here, LOL someone on Deviantart had mentioned this site and I joined for the fun of it.

muleeloo 05-30-2010 06:20 PM

Heey, I'm old too! ^^ It's good to be older ;) I don't know why but I like to think that :D

Fantasia 05-30-2010 06:21 PM

Yea... I'll most likely stick with avatar sites for a wile. I much enjoy them.
Are you on any other sites like this one?

Eh... I am hungry but I don't think there is anything like leftovers or something else that could just be grabbed and eaten... Lazy... hahaha...

pumibel 05-30-2010 06:23 PM

I have a Gaia account but I don't use it. I like it here better. Things are better when you hit your 30s, at least I think so. I still have stress and all, but I don't feel like I am always watching my back like I did as a younger woman or teenager.

Crimson_daffodils_Layla 05-30-2010 06:29 PM

being a teen is fun, but not all the time. And I won't even be a teen for that much longer :'(

Roxxxy 05-30-2010 06:30 PM

I HATED my teen years. And my early 20's. About 24, life got good.
