so i got my photoshop downloaded the other night but then i got the black screen of death on my laptop oi managed to finish my siggy from photoshop but im out a laptop and photoshop again im currently on my moms tower

BSODs are not necessarily a really bad thing- usually just a driver for hardware or software. Did you already take it to a geek? I currently have the BSODs on my laptop too, but it is a matter of time before I narrow down the problem. I have a feeling it is running to hot and I need a cooling pad.

You may need to run another update on the PS2, or have you had any mew hardware on it?

if you set it to not reboot when this shows up, the screen will give you errors that can help you find the problem yourself. They are called stop errors, and sometimes the message will actually have some helpful information to help you figure it out.

okay my guess is it was a problem with a old virus of mine plus over heating i never turned my laptop off

well the virus can probably be eradicated if you run a virus checker in safe mode. You can download a trial of one of the really good ones if you don't have one loaded already. If it isnt that, see if you get the BSOD when you are doing something specific. With mine it is usually after I have watched a lot of videos while posting on forums at the same time.

If it gets to the point that your machine is rebooting or stopping so much that you cant do anything then you will probably have to take it in to someone. I had an issue with my first desktop many years ago, when I didnt know as much about computers. They charges $65 an hour, and you had to at least pay an hour just for them to crack it open. That computer was a doorstop at that point and not worth saving- I learned $65 later.

That's what to me earlier today. I was on 4/5 hours ago, but no one else was. Then I leave, and suddenly there are people. *sigh* I couldn't get any chatting done.
