what I wouldn't do for late fall :dreams:
|
Its 88 out right now, but we're supposed to be getting around 98 later in the day.
And people say that humidity makes a difference (which it does), but everyone's 85-90 with humidity doesn't hold a candle to 115 with baking sun and no moisture at all. You just feel dry and parched all the time and the sun itself hurts DX |
Which is why I won't move south. I'm sensitive to the sun because I'm fair skinned and because of a medicine im taking. oh what i would do for a tan
|
Seiki: ah, you have a point there. I've only been to Arizona once, and that was in the spring. It was in the 90s but fairly comfortable, as long as you weren't in the direct sunlight for too long.
There were Kokopellis all over zeh place!! :> |
The sun makes it feel infinitely hotter than it actually is. I can be outside when its 103 in the middle of the day and feel like I'm melting, but when it gets dark and its still 103 outside, its surprisingly pleasant. The sun is an evil creature I tell you!

*strokes imaginary goatee*
Very interesting, Seiki. But what are your winters like? I think we win. |
we definitely win with winters
|
Hello everyone.:D
|
xnozomichanx: Yes'm. Especially this past February.
What shall I call you for short, btw? |
snow days... :shudders: my sisters are homme then :bleck:
you can call me nozo, that's what I get from most people ^^ |
Nozo? LOL, I'm totally gonna call you Nozo now too.
|
Yeah, you guys can keep your winters. Not that I don't like the cold and the snow, but I like my pleasant mid-50s to low-60s.
|
Seiki: sounds nice right about now.....
shinigami: ehy, what's up? |

Snow days are awesome as long as you don't have to make them up later. I remember one year when I was in High School, we had so many that they had to add about four days to the end of the year.
|
@Nozo: It just sounds funny... Kinda reminds me of Gonzo from The Muppets.
|
Nothing much. Just got back from shopping and getting a few job apps.
|
When you're homeschooled, you don't get snow days. :P
|
Lostin is LAME. :illgetu:
I've always wanted to be homeschooled. :( Or at least to go to a different sort of school, like a charter school, or a sudbury school, or... BAH, I HATE THE CURRENT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. :gonk: -gnaws on Lostin's elbow- You're from Pittsburgh, right? Or somewhere? We're fellow Pennsylvanians. I always forget that. :P |

EDIT: well i'm off for now, but have no fear I shall return |
I have a friend who was mostly home-schooled. She still had to take English at our High School, though. Not sure how that works exactly.
|
hey hey peeps im glad to say that i think my puppy will be fine....but...im so sure about that stupid test :( im not sure i passed at all
|
I think some states have certain laws regarding homeschooling... As far as parents' own qualifications and whatnot, and whether or not a tutor is involved, blah blah blah...
Also, I know that any kid who's homeschooled that's still "in district" (in other words, in the school district in question) can participate in the school's extracurriculars... Usually, anyway. Not 100% sure if there are certain limitations. But I knew a homeschooled kid that was in our play my sophomore year, and there was a homeschooled girl in our marching band as well. |
Facade: yup. i'm from the 'Burgh.
You're from closer to Philly, right? You might live near Nozo!!! I didn't like being homeschooled. 'Twas boring and we had to fill out a log listing the work we did each day... Not to mention making a giant portfolio at the end of the year, to show to a certified teacher for them to approve.... |
well im off peoples....bye
