Yep, it's pretty clear that they didn't originally intend to make the tool sets buildable.

Yep, its definitely different, but it can take all setting passwords and bookmarks from firefox, and you can sync any computer with the same stuff if you have a gmail account

I like Chrome, but it hasn't impressed me enough for me to switch from Firefox.

It had me at hello, although i will admit the nerdyness side has alot to do with that, being several times faster then ie and a good bit faster with flash and loading then firefox
