That might be it.
I can't find him now, ahaha. Maybe it found its way back out.

Linnea 06-05-2010 07:50 PM

we were only making a tree fort and happened upon the nest... we didn't even realize it until we started getting stung... they flew up our shirts and pants and were hanging off our hair... we were stung countless times... i still kind of freak a little when one lands near me or gets too close

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 07:52 PM

Crane, if it had a stinger, it was female, actually. :)

I was really little, and accidentally disturbed a nest of them that was residing under the porch steps. They got me pretty good, too, and honestly, I don't freak out about them now. No idea why.

Linnea 06-05-2010 07:54 PM

that's good though cica  and i am jealous lol
the thing is i'm not scared about being stung... i think it's more me not wanting them to get in my clothes or something... i was wearing jeans with a rip in the knee once and a bee flew in the car and landed right on my knee... i completely flew off the handles... my step dad had to pull over the car and i pretty much dug holes in my sisters arm while trying not to move

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 07:56 PM

I guess. Is it normal, though? Maybe it's just because I know I won't die if I get stung. It will hurt, of course, but I'm not deathly allergic or anything, and my parents must have been fairly calm about the whole thing, based on the way Mom tells the story now. That probably helps.

Nobody wants bees in their clothes! XD

Linnea 06-05-2010 08:00 PM

haha yea very true... but i don't think everyone freaks like i do lol

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:01 PM

I suppose not, Linn. :)

Linnea 06-05-2010 08:03 PM

okie i think i am going to zone out in a movie and find something else to nibble

talk to you later, tater!!

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:04 PM

Later, Linn! Have fun!

Jeannesha 06-05-2010 08:05 PM

Hi Linni!

Sorry I poofed.
I've got about an hour left now to get all the event commons that I want.
I need to keep checking to see what I should get...

----------

No more power hour left...now I need to convert to credits I think.
I have 11 sets of rares, so I shouldn't need anymore...

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:12 PM

That's a lot of rares, Jeanne!

Facade 06-05-2010 08:12 PM

WHEW. I'm so tired! :gonk:

And I have henna tattoos on my forearms! :D
One is of Medusa and the other is some sort of tribal thingy...

Last night had its moments of fun, but overall I was pretty damn bored.

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:12 PM

Heya, Facade! Well, at least there were moments?

Jeannesha 06-05-2010 08:13 PM

Hiya Facade!

Many years from now, you will forget that you had been bored, and you will just remember the fun things that you did.

Facade 06-05-2010 08:15 PM

I guess.

The food both at prom and the after-prom was really crappy, and I didn't really have fun dancing. :( And I watched some magician guy do not-so-cliche card tricks for a half an hour, waiting for him to make me a roadrunner balloon animal, but a bunch of people were louder and more obnoxious, and got their stupid palm trees instead. :stare:

I asked him to make me a llama first, but he wasn't able to. :P So a roadrunner it was! ... Or would have been. He ended up packing up and leaving.

at least you got henna!

Facade 06-05-2010 08:17 PM

But the one henna tattoo is smudged! :gonk:
Medusa is flawless, though; there were two henna "artists" there; this one lady with a Hatter-like tophat did the Medusa one, and some random guy did the tribal one. Of course the tribal one is the one that's smudged... :stare:

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:18 PM

Aww, a llama would have been easy, Facade. XD Just like a dog, only with long legs and a long neck.

Hi Kat!

Kat Dakuu 06-05-2010 08:18 PM

hey cica

aw, that's sad that its smudged.

Facade 06-05-2010 08:20 PM

I slept until 3:30 though. I just got up almost an hour ago. D:
Of course, I did go to sleep at 6 AM, but still! I'm used to staying up until 4-5 AM, so I expected to be up by 2 PM at the latest.

Oh man, and we had the traditional pre-prom gathering at someone's house for pictures... Have I told you that I hate pictures? Especially posed, formal pictures? Ugh ugh UGH! It was literally an hour of picture-taking.

Kat Dakuu 06-05-2010 08:22 PM

ugh, the picture taking is such a drag!! :gonk:
I went to sleep around 6am as well because I couldn't sleep (I was hyper last night) I woke up before 9am too, and then 11am, 1pm, and finally got up around 2pm.

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:23 PM

Jeez, that's a lot of photography, Facade. Did you remind them that it was a high school dance, not a wedding? XD

Facade 06-05-2010 08:26 PM

@Cica: ACTUALLY... funny thing about that question.
First off, I was the minority there. My date was Asian, and everyone else and their dates there were Asian. Everyone found it funny, and they also told me that the picture-taking for Asians on any occasion was like picture-taking at weddings. They apparently go picture-crazy at weddings, too, as well as everywhere else.

But yeah. Too many pictures. And posing. My date and I were the only ones who truly hated getting our pictures taken, so we tried our very best to get the least amount of pictures taken...

...Then the group pictures came. :gonk:

Cicadetta 06-05-2010 08:29 PM

Oh, cool, Facade. Asian as in Japanese, or Indian, or what? :)

Ugh, group pictures are a pain no matter who's taking them!

Facade 06-05-2010 08:32 PM

Primarily Korean, actually, although there are a few Chinese kids in the mix. ;)
Where I live is highly-populated with Koreans, as well as Greeks, Armenians, and... Uh, I guess that's it?
Not to forget the generally-white-bred people, of course! :P They're the majority, as always. :|
