"China Syndrome" is a movie that came out in 1979 about a nuclear accident and subsequent cover-up by the company. Three weeks after it came out, there was a near-accident at the nuclear plant at Three-Mile Island in Pennsylvania. I think it dealt a pretty heavy blow to support for nuclear power =x

But yeah, the movie was not as good as I was hoping it'd be. Older movies tend to be slower and I'm generally cool with that, but that one was pushing it for me ^^;

nope a black lounge singer that see her boyfriend murder some one and then goes into witness protection program and a nunnery was the only place they could put her that her boyfriend would not find her.

Mmm. I know what ya mean about slow older movies. They tend to get on ones nerves after one sees too many of them. I've been watching quite a few of them lately and they're driving me crazy.

Some of 'em are pretty brilliant, though, regardless. Like the original "Italian Job" is freaking hilarious XD And "The Sting" remains one of my favorite movies evar.

Well in the past they had to have the movies slower paced because those peoples hearts just couldn't handle too much stress and they didn't want any heartattacks from over excitement :P

Now that I've been given a few different versions of Sister Act ^_^ I get the idea though.

Haha, nice XD Some of the old-school rom-coms are fun, too, with just how ridiculous they get sometimes. Like uh... trying to remember what it's called but it involves a pink submarine ^^;;
