@Claudia- We have a different type of climate where I live so only very peculiar type plant grow here.
Hi Yeah! I'm good thanks for asking and what about you? |
Hi Kings, how are you?
Hi Pie, I'm good too, thank you. |
*rolls in and waves*
Community garden sounds really cool =O I'm not sure we have one of those in my area. I'd love to try to grow at least some of my own herbs and veggies and stuff, but we have too many trees on our property, so it's hard to find a good spot for smaller plants XD; |
I'm good and you Yeah? -ends up falling sleep on Pie's foot-
|
I'm trying my hand at tomatoes this year, so far, they are doing great. I have 8 plants, which is going to be too many. I wonder if any of the neighbors need some tomato plants.
|
Where I live we have alot of farmers markets so planting is always a wonderful idea over here.
*pets Kings* |
Nice ^_^ My dad did a great garden this year ^^
Pie -cuddles in place where he is as he sleeps when you pet me- |
We have a good farmer's market, at least. It's great for peaches in the summer, and apples in the fall *o*
|
Ohhh man we have peach trees also. The peaches were like sugar in our mouths delicious. -drools a bit remembering them-
|
'Ello! How are ya'll today?
|
Our farmers markets are good for papaya, pineapples, squash, bananas, and guavas and a lot of other native fruits.
@Kings- Awww so cute!!! Hi Alba! *waves* |
I love papayas.
|
I hate papayas! They're so slimey. One time the seeds got lodged on my throat. It was kinda scary....
|
'Ello, Pie!
Admittedly, never had Papaya before. ._. *Takes mental note to try it* |
ohh you know the only fruit I can't ate whole is mango's. But I love the flavor! just the texture eehyeah...
|
Hi Alba, how are you?
I should visit the farmers market here, most of them are only on Saturday and Sunday but, I bet I could get some really good produce, better than in the stores for sure. |
Fine, fine, and you?
Farmers markets tend to have better produce (in my area, at least,) just need a chance to check out what they have more often. |
What I like here is fresh corn. So I planted a row of corn yesterday. Hope it's worthwhile and not like corn I planted in the past that never got further then my knee.
|
@Kings- OMG REALLY!!! I love the everything about mangoes! The skin, seed and especially the flesh *drools*! Its wonderful. In fact mangoes are almost in season over here.
@Claudia- My grandmother planted some corn before and it tasted like bread XD! So now I call all corn bread corn. |
I love mangos too. Most of the better tasting fruit doesn't grow here. Wish I lived in a better climate.
|
@Claudia- You should visit The Bahamas some time during the summer when all the native fruits are in season and get some of the natives to show you around so you can eat the tasty wonders *yum*
|
Claudia: I agree, fresh sweet corn is the best. They say it will be in season early here because of the weather so, I can't wait.
|
Ahhh stop talking about all the tastiness it's making me hungry!!! lol
|
That sounds nice. Of course I'd have to get a job there first. But then if I get back into my massage, I hope I can work at resorts for tourists eventually when I'm good enough. Which would allow me to go places.
|
@Kings- lol I can't wait to eat all the tastiness stuffies either.
@Claudia- Well what's your profession? Depending on that you can get a job easily. |
