Anyway, I think what bothers me about them is the fact that if I'm even in their presence, nevermind getting bitten, I itch all over. I hate that feeling. It's like they're crawling all over you even though you know they aren't.

I agree with you Granny. I used to be freakishly afraid of dogs, and they -always- came running up to me if I walked by them.

Dogs can smell fear.

I don't doubt that. I still dislike dogs today, but I don't hate them nor am I afraid of them.

I know what that is like, have a friend that I have to block the dogs for getting at when we are out. I have met more dogs that way then I have just walking around by my self.

I love dogs.

I tend to call them all puppies.
We saw a Newfoundland the other day, and I said "Oh, look at the puppy".
My husband thinks I'm nuts.

i do that too. I call all dogs puppies and all cats kitties

But they react so well to the voice. When you say "puppy", it comes out very loving and soothing. Dogs respond well to that.

I know, to see their little tales wagging when you call them puppy, and no one can be mad at you for calling them by the wrong gender.
