Blazestorm 05-27-2010 07:46 PM

I understand, Roo.

roocee 05-27-2010 07:52 PM

Honestly, it's not even because I don't love you guys because I do. It's totally me and my personality. I just seem to be going backwards back into my quiet shy self.

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 08:18 PM

:( @ Roo. We all have our own personal cycles like that.

*changing topic* ... I'm getting really tired of not being able to DO anything for this event or to help the team or further my own stores of currency... I'm just NOT getting wrenches/spanners and the stupid engine is always at 100% (or 99%) so I can't sabotage the other teams' thinger and I can't fix our own ('cuz there's nothing to fix) and I can't donate flowers or gaskets to people who might need them, Nor can I receive any spanners from anybody who might be willing to send some my way. This is getting AGGRAVATING.

roocee 05-27-2010 08:21 PM

I agree Blaze. I'm not getting what I need either and I assume they will fix the other issues but when? There always seems to be issues anymore with these events. Maybe being less complicated will help?

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 08:25 PM

You would think, but so many people tend to believe that it needs to be complicated in order to be "worthwhile" (or whatever)... which is just not the case, imo.

Whatever. I'd switch 2ndary professions, but I don't see there's a point in doing that either, since the machine is always at 100% (unless I'm misunderstanding something about the event, but good grief! -- Do I HAVE to learn a whole 'nother detailed game situation just to participate in whats' supposed to be a sub-game on an existing one?

I'm annoyed.

The kids are fighting.

... and I'm getting a headache.

Great. Just in time for karate too!

*grumbles*

roocee 05-27-2010 08:36 PM

I totally agree with you.

Melody 05-27-2010 08:46 PM

The users who give feedback say that the events are too simple, so the event coordinators make it more complicated. When the feedback thread comes out, say that it's too complicated. The staff listen to feedback. It's just that the only people that ever seem to leave feedback are the ones that are saying "it was too easy, I got bored too fast etcetcetc" so that's what the staff has to go on. They NEED your feedback. srsly. Your voices will be heard!

Wrenches do seem to have gotten more rare, I swear I was getting them semi often in teh shed before this, now I'm rarely getting them. </3 I have like 23 wrenches...but 82 gears and 76 flowers. @[email protected] Granted I've used a lot of wrenches...but I'd like to have some saved up for when the donating is fixed!

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 08:51 PM

good to know i'm not the only one, Roo!
.... sorry if I sound annoyed... but... well, I am! :XD

EDIT: just saw your post, Mel. Yeah, I know... and I know how the feedback / event coordination thing goes for sites like this. It just always seems -no matter what you do- that the squeaky wheel (and it's often the Minority!) gets the oil, ya know? And as staff, tryign to juggle and balance things like this... it seems that no matter what you do, there will be complaints. *le sigh*

EDIT 2: Mel, I'm curious- do you happen to know if Mene's games are all hand-/custom-coded or if they're part of a package?

roocee 05-27-2010 09:01 PM

That's true Mel. I will be posting in the feedback thread if I have the courage.

I'm off for home.

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 09:07 PM

You should post, Roo. Post with a mule if you're feeling particularly shy... but you're not likely to get jumped all over here (like other places) if you're posting your opinion. And if it makes you feel better, when the feedback thread comes out, come find me and I'll post around the same time as you, k?

Melody 05-27-2010 09:15 PM

Roo- Aren't like half the staff members your friends? There's no reason to be shy about posting your feedback. :3 Even harsh feedback is necessary to move forward.

Blaze- Tetris, asteroids, snake etc were part of a package. But The fishing game, attack of the fan girls and astrodonkey or whatever the last one is called were custom coded.

I'm a little annoyed that the donation thing isn't working too, I'm sure most people are, probably the staff more than others. These things get tested on the Dev site before it goes live, and things don't always work the way they are planned to or the way they do when a few people are testing them out. It sucks, but that's the way life is. I'm sure a fix will come. (:

EternalHearts 05-27-2010 09:19 PM

Or, like I do--post your feelings and never go back to the thread--the Mods aren't likely to reply and I don't want to "listen" to the people that want to be jerks.

I agree that this event wasn't set up in the best way--I think the intention was great, but either the numbers are skewed or the actually event wasn't thought through as well as it should have been. Like Mel says, people ARE upset, and I've been watching the staff trying to control the situation in the FAQ thread. Hopefully they get it working for us soon.

Melody 05-27-2010 09:23 PM

Staff doesn't post in the feedback thread. It's against the rules. Er, sort of anyway, they're not supposed to post in there because then people feel like they can't be honest. No one will contact you about what you said, unless they want clarification and even then they won't be an ass about it. Like I said, feedback is important.

I feel so bad for the staff at event times when things screw up. I used to get PM's from people and they were yelling at ME for the stuff not working. I had nothing to do with the coding that wasn't working or whatever got borked. It's being worked on and while it takes a while, they're doing the best they can!

(God, I wrote out we so many times in there, I miss being staff. But I'm not emotionally stable yet to go back. *woe*)

[fox girl] 05-27-2010 10:33 PM

Hello, everyone. I see the event still isn't working properly.

Kalium 05-27-2010 10:57 PM

I can fiddle in the Team HQ just fine, but I canīt donate anything to other members. Is this the same for everyone else here?

[fox girl] 05-27-2010 10:59 PM

It's the same with me, Kalium.

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 10:59 PM

Yeah, donations are still down, apparently. *sigh*

Melody 05-27-2010 11:35 PM

*fingers crossed* According to the staff in the FAQ it's being worked on. So I'm hoping soon. (:

Team sprocket is like 400 clicks ahead of team gasket. </3 Boo....at least my mule will benefit?

[fox girl] 05-27-2010 11:42 PM

Where can you see the status of the other team? o.o

Melody 05-27-2010 11:42 PM

My mule is on the other team, so when I do the mission there, I can see their status. xD

roocee 05-27-2010 11:43 PM

Well that explains it.

[fox girl] 05-27-2010 11:43 PM

Oh I see. P: Keep us posted? XD

Blazestorm 05-27-2010 11:48 PM

yeah, having that information is interesting... even if we can't really do anything about -or with- it. Thanks for the update though.

[fox girl] 05-27-2010 11:49 PM

It's just neat to know how both teams are doing.

Melody 05-27-2010 11:49 PM

haha, I figured it would be a conversation starter if nothing else. xD
