A lot of vampire romance and slave RP's, or something really complicated that I don't feel like tweaking a character for the purposes of. I'm thinking that I'll just make a generic bar and see where that takes us.

Its a kind of "forbidden love." With a vampire, there's that danger that he might suck you dry. And with the neck being somewhat of an erogenous zone, its like 'I'm having sex with you, but not really having sex with you, and at the same time killing you.' Some people find the appeal in 'turning into a monster,' which I think is fun to write, personally. But at the same time, people try to make the monster sympathetic, which doesn't work for me. I prefer a monster to be a monster, know?

With slaves, its more the fantasy of reliquishing control from yourself. A person feels that they have no control in their life, so they want someone to tell them what to do. (I've studied this. Its creepy.) And some of that goes back to the vampire fascination: you no longer have control. You have a master to tell you what to do. Vampire mind crush and all that.

Though... I do have a bit of a biting fetish. >>

1. I read the first in the Twilight series and thought waaaaaay too much about it.

2. I've had several friends who are into slave literature and I notice a personality consistency.

I have 4 more weeks before I can find out.

Had my 16 week ultrasound today and all is well they said- I go back in 2 weeks for the icky ultrasound where they check on my bits to make sure it is holding strong - then at 20 weeks I get the normal ultrasound plus the girl bits check.

It's... a boy! xD

Yay!! Were the parents there for this ultrasound? Are they super excited to know? What names did they pick (if they told you)

The parents were there, they flew in last night after two flight cancelations and a 4 hour delay. xD Poor guys, they had such a hard time getting here, I was thankful everything on the ultrasound looked good!
They had a girls name choosen, they haven't decided on a boys name yet. They don't want to know the gender, but are both on my facebook, thus I didn't update it there. I am super excited to know though. I figure to get an outfit for the baby just incase they don't make it down for delivery. I figure the less things they have to think about packing while they're going crazy because I'm in labor and they need to leave the better. I'll have some size 1 diapers here too. Just in case. (:

Sorry Hyena...parentals/soon to be parentals have a habit of talking about babies. ^^;;

I'm still in that "I'm not sure if I want kids" stage of my life right now. xD

awww congrats on the baby Melody! I must have missed something - are you a surrogate? that's kinda exciting!!!

Hyena - I'm kidless and plan on staying that way. We just plan on being the awesome aunt and uncle that hops the kids up on sugar and then sends them home at the end of the day :)

Don't forget about giving them toys that make noise! =D

I'm a little conflicted, though. I mean... I don't want kids, but I know my mom wants grandkids... and I know my brother isn't going to be in any state to have kids anytime soon... so I feel a little like I'm letting her down. >>

Hyena - i did too for awhile - luckily my little brother and sister both have a baby each, so the pressures off me. Altho my mother-in-law used to pressure me while she was still alive cuz hubby's brothers both had all boys and she really wanted a baby girl.

I've only got the one brother, and Bill is kind of nonsocial and doesn't have any friends and is incapable of making them. Sooooo children for him is out. And with my current lifestyle... children would not only be a bad idea for the kid, but a bad idea for the relationship. People would be wondering where it came from. >>

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out if this comic book writer is legit. Probably not. >>
