I've had home made marshmallows before as well. P: I couldn't figure out what they were though because they were cut in a jagged way and I didn't take one until the woman told me what they were.

Yup yup, Miro~ I've made plenty of marshmallow icing for cakes, and marshmallows are made along the same lines. Tassteeeeeeey!

I may be wrong but I think you made home made marshmallows by whipping egg whites and sugar for a really long time (or something to that effect) xD;; Then the froth dries out and turns into a marshmallow?

That is definitely one way of doing it. (It's how I make the frosting for cakes.) If you want them closer to store made ones, then you nix the egg whites and use gelatin.

And no, whip cream is made straight from heavy cream. Eggs whites are used for meringues and stuff like divinity. *_* (Or gently folded into cake batter, ho ho ho)

Funny how tuna, peanut butter and pasta are usually the last things on people's shelves.

Oh, it makes sense! It's cause you stock up on those items. They last a loooong time, high in protein or fiber/carbs, and packed full of other really good nutrients that, in the event there's nothing else to eat, fit the bill! So yeah, even subconsciously people make sure they have those items just in case.

Like, we go through so much peanut butter we buy the huge, 6 or 8lb (can't remember off hand which it is) thing of peanut butter every month or every other month, just depending, lol! O___O
