I don't know where you can buy them here . . . since you live on an Island with differ places and differ products. xD

Mochi is a sticky japanese snack that is usually covered with powder on the outside so you can pick it up. There is also the wonder known as Mochi ice cream which is like the Mochi ball except in the middle it has ice cream of the matching flavour. Very messy to eat with your fingers (at a restaurant I went to once they cut them up into quarters for you and you ate them with utensils) but pretty fun.

Well I have 1 cup of hot water 3 tablespoons coconut milk (I think we just use condense milk) 1/2 cup of sugar 1 cup sweet rice flour (michiko flour) food coloring and 1/3 cup potato starch.

mix, then pour into ring container, microwave on high for five minutes. Then let it sit for 15 minutes then dusty with more potato starch and eat. =D

That's a Chichidango recipe. =D One of the easiest.

Mochi Ice Cream = Love. Expensive though. *sigh*

Nah. You can put stuff in them, red bean paste, black bean, ice cream, etc etc. Peanut butter too.

Can cover them in different stuff too.

Yeah. xD I rather like my mochi on the plain side. Nothing in it. Black sugar is great and all but plain is the way to go.
