*rolls back in* I was chatting with a friend. xD Back now.
What is everyone up to? |
Indeed, Zade, though I think I'm more of a small city kind of girl. More to do.
Heya Chi! Zade and I are discussing Texas. |
We were just discussing some recent changes in Texas law and schools. And our current places of residence ...lol
@ Steel.. yeah it would be nice to be in a bigger place. But you do get use to the smallness of this place over the years. |
Heh, not when you've grown up in a big place. There is so much more culture here in Lubbock than there is in CS. Ugh.
|
I'm out again. Sorry guys. :XD Getting sleepy. Night!
|
Goodnight, Chi! Sleep well.
|
Well I have been in much larger places. Its nice to slow down sometimes. But the culture and things to do are to be missed for sure.
|
That is one of the nice things about Lubbock. It's small enough and friendly, so it's still got a bit of a small town feel to it. But large enough to have a lot of culture and opportunity.
|
Agh sorry. I got really chatty with my mom over really silly things. I'm back!
Ohh yes I do know Ivvy, zade! She seems to be oozing in awesomeness. :D I haven't seen her lately though. It's awesome she's talked you into joining. My husband, Edgar, comes on Mene too...however lately WoW has been eating a lot of his attention. I tried to get him to come on for the event though. :'( |
Zumi, it's good to talk to your mom about things!
|
Awww night night Chi-bean. I know I've probably missed you by now. </3
Oh and I skimmed over the conversation I've missed and I'll adopt you Windy. Don't worry about the whole 'Asian' thing stereotype. I'm white as rice and you know the relationship was REALLY strained growing up with my family. There wasn't the whole huggy feeliness either, nor did they really push me very hard. In fact, I got use to hiding bad report cards as they would love to have excuses to ground me but never tried very hard to push me to succeed. ---------- Steel - Yah it's nice, I must say. Our relationship is SO much better when we don't live under the same roof though. We tend to step on eachother's toes very easily and to make matters worse we are very hot headed and haven't a problem fighting with one another...and I usually loose just because of the whole seniority thing... :XP |
Haha. Yeah, I'm actually a bit worried about that with my mom. I'm going to have to live at my parents' house for a little while until I can get a job and an apartment here, so things might get interesting.
|
Bleh moving back in with parents can be a bitch. My dad was always really easy to get along with. I think the only time we fought was when I didn't want to go outside to tend to the animals on the farm as it was the middle of winter with several feet of snow and very windy. I hate winter. :'(
My mom and I fought a lot though, and it's always seemed that no matter how hard I tried I was never good enough. |
I don't have that problem as much as my mom and I just tend to get on each others' nerves.
|
Like I said though once I move out and we have some time and space between us we're OK. I don't hate the lady, but I don't idolize her. In fact I think my MIL is much more selfless and is ALWAYS thinking of us and the kids. My mom does to a certain degree but it's not quite the same. It seems MIL is *always* bringing over treats for us and every little holiday when she brings the kids something she brings us something too usually. I find that really endearing. And a lot of times it'll be garage sale finds or flower bulbs for the yard so it's never anything real expensive or glamorous, just the fact she thought of us that's really sweet.
|
Aww, that's very sweet. It's always good to get along with your mother in law.
|
Yah tell me about it! The first one was a NIGHTMARE. :XP
|
Haha, well, it sounds like so was the first husband, so that makes sense. :XP
Ooooh, River Monsters. *sigh* Soooo cool. |
I don't think he was so much as a nightmare as he just needed to grow up. I think I needed to too to some degree, to be fair.
Also, I did not find my first husband to be very attractive either, but I thought that was something I could grow to love and accept. |
Intriguing. I'm so glad I didn't go through my engagement. It would have been a disaster.
|
Yah I definitely wouldn't of pushed you to either.
Don't get me wrong -- it's the full package that makes a man attractive. I'm not REAL fickle but at the same time Aaron is very much pleasing to the eye. Well in my opinion. He has his flaws physically, as he isn't in the best shape but his actual face I find more pleasing than I do my ex's. Also the fact that he TAKES CARE OF HIS TEETH. (I had to work on that last one, but I told him how much it bothered me with the ex it gave him the extra push to get it done...) |
I'm glad I didn't go through with my first engagement, either. :)
|
Kin!!! :glomp: WB :D
Well you know with the shoe on the other foot, Aaron's ex was in his words a very attractive woman and very good in bed. He found out AFTER he knocked her up that they had NOTHING in common and her intelligence was very much not even with his own. |
My relationship with Chelle was one of those things that I didn't realize I was unhappy until after I left.
|
*high fives Kin* Go us engagement breakers! Haha.
Oh god, Izumi, I totally know what you mean about the teeth. Bad teeth are sooo hard to kiss. *shudders* |
