This is apropos of nothing, but I hate it when the commercials on a channel are a lot louder than what I'm watching. :(

Oh, I know. And lately it seems they are *all* so loud. It used to be just car commercials.

I think the thing that really grossed me out though was the fact he never brushed his teeth because the fragments left from his diving accident at 19 would abscess. He would chew nice smelling gum all the time, but even that doesn't get all the plaque and buildup out.

He's now had all his extractions done, his post and crown, and almost done with all his cleaning. (He had a one hour block which is usually twice as long as they normally book but he seriously had so much plaque buildup she had to book him in for another half hour...The chunks she was getting off with the ultrasonic cleaner was just amazing. She said if he would of went 5 years longer in the current state he was in his gums would have receded to the point he would of been loosing teeth...like his ex is doing now...)

Oh my god, that is totally disgusting. Blech.

He STILL has 180 dollars left of dental work to be fully caught up. MOST of it is cavity filling which I want him to get dealt with as soon as we can. The one most important one is a filling to fill a crevice on one of his chipped teeth. That and the cavities in that area is $90 of his problems, so as soon as I get my pell back I said I want AT LEAST that dealt with.

Yeah, teeth are so important. They really need to be cared for.

Sorry Steel. I know it's TMI but I'm SO happy to have won that battle. He was for the longest time fighting me on the grounds of us not having the money. I told him he HAS dental insurance to help absorb the costs and if nothing else your mouth is a MIDFIELD waiting to explode if you don't take care of it. Not only that but he realizes how unsexy his snagglepuss ex is looking right now.

I was supposed to get a crown back in March, but there just isn't the money.

I'm reasonably sure that we have cleanings in June, too. :)

You know the kind of disgusting thing is even people at work noticed the difference in his smiles. His bottom row of teeth near his gums had been turning grey and it had me so worried.

My poor mom takes awesome care of her mouth, but she has such terrible teeth. She wants all of hers removed and replaced with porcelain inserts.

I think I lucked out. My teeth for the most part are alright. They're fairly straight and white and other than the odd cavity and some sensitivity issues with hot or cold stuff I'm cool.

And this is coming from someone who went several years without seeing a dentist due to zero coverage. I'm glad I got off with only having a handful of cavities to get caught up on.

I'm lucky to have inherited my father's teeth. They're not perfectly straight, but I have zero cavities. I have some fluoridosis, but that's from too much fluoride, not my natural teeth.

The other thing I'm happy about is the fact I've gotten Aaron to considerably cut down his fizzy drink consumption. He finally realized his frequent heart arrhythmia was NOT liking Mountain Dew. He's pretty much cut that out completely, with the odd treat.

Now we don't stock lots of pop either and with the water pitcher I insisted on he's drinking more water with me.

Yeah, I've failed on that one. Haha. I heart my fizzy drinks.

Me, too. Thankfully budget restrictions have replaced soda with the odd kool aid and mostly water. :)

Steampunk is fun in small doses. I love the little ensemble I bought and hope to use it in the future. It definitely isn't 'me' though.
