To earn gold you post.
You get 40 on your first post, and then it goes down in incriments of about 4-6 depending on how much you type.
You can also get gold from posting on profiles and art pieces, but that's usually between 3-5 gold and doesn't effect your regular posting gains.

The admins and mods are extremely friendly, and hang around and talk to the users.

do you HAVE to post for gold... I'm a bit of a lurker and heavily dependent on tertis here

Unfortunately for now you do.
We don't have any games up that you can earn gold from yet.
The only things we have are the farm and pet park (kinda like pokemon)
They do plan on working on the games in the future though.
One thing you can do is have a big post style, so even if you only post one word, you still get the most amount of gold possible.
We do have a games and contests forum though, where sometimes you only HAVE to post one word.
