If they haven't reported then it means they POOFED. D8;; Ohshit. We're screwed! |
I like you're art.
|
Your art is so good! P:
|
*is late into thread*
Aida as in the opera? I wouldn't have thought that Verdi and Pronz would have mixed... Also, Rubik cube! That's a much better idea than soldering my bra on me! *makes mental note* |
Thanks, everyone! <33 @Cardinal;; Nahh, Aida as in the awesomesauce Croon-Character. <3 And you're not late! <3 Always room for new people to chat it up with me. ^^ |
Aha. Well that does make sense. Although I suppose those gentle Nile breezes (in music form) are mighty sensuous.
In addition, I must concur with the others. Your art is sublime :3 |
/wiggles thank you! <3 I've never seen Aida. v.v;; The musical, I mean. XD |
Ah. May I recommend the opera over the musical? There is nothing like a well done opera to stir the senses. Well, I'm sure there are other things that would stir the senses like an opera, but that's what you get with a hyperbole. Bottom line, opera r nice 8D

I've always wanted to see one. Carmen is at the Lyric Opera House in Chicago, and I would love to go (first opera I ever discovered, thanks to a opera vs baseball play in 4th grade), but I can't afford the tickets for it. Some day, though. Some day. ^^;; |
Hullloo
how's everyone?~ |
Hey, there, Unlock! <3 How are ya doin? You're new here? :3 |
I'm pretty good :3
you? yep, very new XD |
Ah yes, Carmen. Certainly the most vibrant of operas (imo, anyway) But at the same time, it's all laid out there, on the surface of the plot. It works, but I like operas with a little more pathos. I generally go for the tragic romances (of which I guess Carmen would be one, although there is very little "romance" in it. It's more a tragic story of libido)

Doing great, for a change. ^__^; I met up with a friend today and it was awesoem to see'er again. Well. Welcome to Mene. 8D;; /tosses chocolates ---------- The shallow plot is fine with me. xD;; If it's going to be my first one to see, I'd like to be able to follow the plot. >3>;; |
Lol. Fair enough. Did you see the Great Performances: Live from the Met version that was broadcast on PBS? Very well done and um, intense.
|
yay chocolate >.<
OwO~~~ and thank joo~ |
No. :x I was hoping to see it live! 8D;; But I think I might have to settle for renting and watching one, since I get the feeling it'd be a while before I could actually see one live. *w*;; ---------- Hehe.. You're welcome! <3 Pick up as many extras of the event items, you'll be thankful later on when they're worth a couple hundred gold. ^^ |
Chocolate? o-o?
|
Yessu. Everyone loves chocolate and since I'm craving some I thought I'd share it with everyone else, too. xD;; |
Well, yeah. Live will always be best, but this is the next best thing. I really enjoyed their production of Madame Butterfly and Der Rosenkavalier. Thais was also good.
One thing I do like about Carmen is the main character is written for a mezzo soprano. Usually it's soprano, soprano, soprano. But then Carmen is a lively character, not a delicate creature. She could use the earthiness that a deep voice brings. |
oooh, you know so much about this. >3> Is it just a hobby, or are you learning music? :D |
Just a hobby. I grew up with classical music as a child, but didn't much like opera. That's changed :) I've even attended a few opera appreciation lectures.
|
Speaking of chocolate, I have a whole bag of chocolate mints that I'm slowly working through right now.
11 pieces and counting! x_x Aren't those operas? I had to do a super annoying, super indepth analysis on Dido and Aeneas. x____x EDIT: Yeap, they're operas. xD! Posted a bit late. |
Aaah, I see! I'm not a big fna of mints and chocolates combined, unless they're the Andes chocolate mints. Those things are heavenly. Otherwise I prefer my chocolate... unminted. ///fails at describing |
