Torisaspy: Oh, I see, another "survey". I also have a soft spot for the Third Gate (last twitter post with art, I think), Tulon. Why do I have so many sexless characters. roffles

I saved Denzell's. ;D I'll take anything you have, reference wise! <3 And if you have ideas on what they wear, I could come up with some outfits that aren't their default? They gotta have something for laundry day. xD

Akstar 05-30-2010 07:59 AM

Let's see most hated English class was American Lit. I hated Great Gatsby and Cat's Cradle was just plain freakn' weird...I still want to read Slaughter house 5 just to see what that is about dispite reading Cat's Cradle...I've never had to read a Dicken work...I had to read East of Eden(oh dear god that book was long, but not to Gone of the Wind level, but it was up there for me though I have never read Gone to the Wind)

nekomorty 05-30-2010 08:00 AM

@ Cer: Yes she did! ^__^ Speaking of chibis...

TK, do you still work on the button eyed chibis?

As for Lucy, I haven't really developed a story for her yet. I just know it's her and her sister Rosimo. The other chibi unicorn I have on DA. I think Lucy is the older sister. I can't even remember. I need to develop her character background more.

ToriKat 05-30-2010 08:00 AM

@Sasasamba!: Hahhaa, I had to think about it! I did a button chibi of Lucy! For some reason I had Rose on the mind. Wait...it's probably because neko has Rose in her signature. MYSTERY SOLVED!

*laughs* You draw awesome outfits! <3 That particular RP is fantasy based...that's pretty much all I've got. I'll shamefully share those references...with enough persuasion. xD

@Kat: LOL! I only enjoyed Algebra 1 and 2...after that, math went from fun to hell.

Akstar 05-30-2010 08:01 AM

@ Tori: I found algebra 1&2 easy, I hated Geometry.

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:01 AM

Geometry is evil!! Calculus was fun though

Sarasvati 05-30-2010 08:02 AM

There were two books I despised reading in my high school English classes. Things Fall Apart and Madame Bovary. There was actually talk in my class that had to read Madame Bovary of having a bonfire at the end of the year. 8D

Toritangofoxtrot: I knew I recognized her design. *_* I still miss your button chibi. ; O;

... Is not art enough persuasion? What do I have to put on the table, missy? XD

nekomorty 05-30-2010 08:03 AM

I second that motion! LOL I couldn't stand Geometry.

@ Saracercer: *_* Tulon is pretty! I love the colors!!!

Kat Dakuu 05-30-2010 08:03 AM

I had math problems since they started teaching us subtraction and real problems when multiplication started. it only got worse from there.

I liked slaughter house 5 alright. never read cat's cradle. didn't like great gatsby much either. the ending was just eh? ooh, east of eden...I know that one. my brother read it for summer reading. its by the guy who wrote of mice and men I think.

things fall apart was good

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:04 AM

The ending is what made Great Gastby Kat! Don't know what you are talking about...

and Things Fall Apart was strange, I didn't hate it but I didn't exactly love it.

I hated Adventures of Huck Finn, Great Expectations, and Tale of Two Cities however.

any of ya'll read The Things They Carried?? amazing!

Sarasvati 05-30-2010 08:05 AM

Ack, it double posted, sorry guys. ><;

Akstar 05-30-2010 08:07 AM

Oh there was another book that confused the daylights out of me and I don't recall the name of it, but it was about an kid with Native American heritage went out rob a bank with a real gun, shot a guy, then got killed by the cops and he suddenly was time traveling and entering bodies of various people like to Custer's battle was solider, then an army guy who watched a Native American get killed, then a guy who was cheating on his wife, then became his father..then woke up and everything was normal except he had the choice not to do what he did to get himself killed. Sorry for spoilers but I don't recall the name of the book...

Kat Dakuu 05-30-2010 08:09 AM

oh, I loved the things they carried! raisin in the sun was interesting too but not that amazing.

I hate all those same books wingsy. though huck funn wasn't as bad as those other two. what else...there was this one horrid book I read....don't even own it. oh, and cold sassy tree.

never heard of that, akstar

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:10 AM

i didn't like raisin in the sun, didn't hate it but didn't like it.

oh huck finn was worse. i ABSOLUTELY HATE mark twain

Akstar 05-30-2010 08:11 AM

I can see the cover of it just not the name or author cause it was a weird colored bulls eye and it was a hard cover.

Kat Dakuu 05-30-2010 08:14 AM

sounds like a strange cover...

I only hated parts of huck fin. I at least read it unlike great expectations and tale of two cities which I stomached a few chapters between them.

Akstar 05-30-2010 08:17 AM

I had better luck with Sci-fi lit. I went into that class really only a bit of knowledge of that genre and read a book called Neuromancer which a lot of what was in that book would be the basis for a pen and paper game called Shadowrun from what I had gathered about the book and game, though the author doesn't like the fact that Shadowrun has magic in it.

Sarasvati 05-30-2010 08:17 AM

I think it might have been the way we had to interrogate the text for Things Fall Apart that made me dislike it. I tend to like to just read a book once and enjoy it, and then look at it later to be precise with the themes and what not. The way my English classes rolled, we tore books apart right after we read them, so it took the fun out of some (if I have to hear about the tree symbolism in Jane Eyre one more time, oi. D8 ).

Akstar: I don't recognize that book either. It sounds interesting. o_o

Neko: I have some more refs of Tulon somewhere if you'd like more. :3

nekomorty 05-30-2010 08:18 AM

@ Sara: Yes please!!

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:19 AM

nyah I suffered through every moment of reading huck finn. at least there were parts in great expectations and tale of two cities i found mildly interesting.

Kat Dakuu 05-30-2010 08:21 AM

I thought mark twain wrote a bit less BORING and confusing. all of those books were boring as hell though I didn't get past the second chapter of tale of two cities.

never read jane eyre.

Akstar 05-30-2010 08:23 AM

I still recall for some reason in elementary we had to read the first Anne Green Gables book..I hated it and we had to do a short skit and I actually was given an important part but I forgot most of my lines but knew I had to serve cranberry juice in glasses as if it was wine for the scene.

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:24 AM

I skipped the entire middle of tale of two cities. but i liked the end of it. and I thought mark twain's works were just absolutely pointless and droned on and on about nothing! and this is coming from the girl who can find something to analyze in almost any book. There was NOTHING in huck finn no matter what other people say.

me either

Kat Dakuu 05-30-2010 08:25 AM

I read anne of green gables on my own and loved it. I tried to read anne of avonlea and hated it though.

I think the only point of huck fin was that a black guy was friends with a white kid

Nicole Legion 05-30-2010 08:25 AM

i've never read either i think my sister read both though, at least we used to own both of them
