what makes something shounen?

It's about this group of high school girls who form a band. A slice of life and comedy. It's kind of cute, but the humor doesn't appeal to me?
I haven't heard of Deadman Wonderland. o_o *will look it up*

@Kat: It's aimed toward boys. xD The plot tends to deal with comradeship, adventure, missions...stuff like that. While shoujo, stuff for girls, goes more toward friendship, romance....

Hm, that doesn't sound familiar. I might check out a chapter just to see the art, though.

It's by the same team who did the Eureka Seven manga. It's... very weird, and super gory at some points. 8D;

ah, I prefer action and swords in my stories though I'm such a romantic. I think I tend to like most types of things I come across.

I haven't even seen or read Eureka 7. xD I've been having hit and misses so frequently I'm like...meh...

I know Deadman Wonderland is up online. I don't really like to buy from TP anymore because they're charging the same price for books while using super cheap paper. -_- I'm trying to just buy it in the original language if TP has the license for a manga/manwha now. >>

I loved it too! ; O; It was my favourite anime/manga for awhile. I don't know why, either, I wouldn't have thought I'd be so big on surfing mecha. xD

I was never able to get into Naruto, but some of my friends love it. I can't get into Eureka 7 either. I loved Trinity Blood, D. Grayman and some others. I'm too lazy to name them.

I have a love hate relationship with naruto. I gave up on it before I got too far in.

Same here I think in total I might have watched 10 episodes, but only because my friends made me.

A romance anime/manga has to have something else to it to really get me into it. Like comedy. I was surprised I liked Skip Beat...

I was into Naruto a little when it was first coming out into the states. But because it had such a stigma to like it, I kind of stopped reading it. xD It was getting too long for my tastes anyways...

Naruto seems to have gotten super crazy lately, so I'm tempted to kind of pick it up at a point and read it again. Never got beyond the second book. xD

Tori: That's the other problem. I'm only keeping an eye out in case they finally get a hold of Alichino 4, but other than that, I'm not supporting them any longer. I'm serious when I say the paper quality is low, it's as bad as some of the phone book manga magazines (basically you can see through to the panels on the other page x_x)

oh man, ouran was awesome! I love fruits basket. that's one of my favorites. just romance is kind of bland but if the characters are really great, then I'll totally read it.

did they seriously never finish alichino? it was so much fun to read.

dang. I guess I'd be like that too though. I keep trying to draw manga but I never get more than a few pages in because I'm so ADD. I should get meds....

I haven't read D. Gray-man yet. Is it good? I always liked the character designs, from what I saw. :x

I think that's why I can't make a manga. 8D The perfectionist in me is like NO YOU CAN'T POST CRAP LIKE THAT UP! But I have a project where I plan on just doing it. xD

If that's how lousy their paper quality is, then even some of the manhwa magazines' paper is better than that. :/

*nods* It's really obvious when the next page has a lot of black. It can be kind of obnoxious to read on. ><; It's why I don't buy manga much, anymore, because TP has most of the series I want. I'd rather buy the Japanese or Korean version and read scanlations to see what's going on. :\
