I enjoy it and think it's good. Gotta love Allen, Lavi and Yuu.
Oh yes and Road and Tyki. |
I can read bits and pieces in Japanese. Enough to know when someone is going "OH MY, BROTHER X, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!? D8" I need to start back on studying Japanese along with Korean. ToT I need to go over hangul again.
|
I fail at learning languages... -___- I considered going to japan to study abroad, but if I can't learn any spanish after 3 years then I doubt I'd learn japanese so I think I'll go to scotland instead.
|
@Ceravati: I think if I build up my vocabulary, Korean will be so much easier. @[email protected] Getting the sounds down was easy...knowing what they mean...hahaha...If it's not food, I'm not sure what it is!
IT'S YOURS. For moar arts. ;D @Kat: After three years of French, I still don't know much. >_>;; I think learning in high school was far too late. I know more Spanish from what I learned in fourth grade for a couple of week.... |
I learned some spanish in 2nd grade and it was easy then. I just can't learn now. I can't even say I can't speak spanish!!! :gonk:
|
Tori: TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT, MUH DEAR. More watercolour chibi? Watercolour postcard? WHAT IS YOUR WISH~? :gonk: *filled with crying joy*
BBRose: Mm, o.k. I think between you and Kat, I'll have to check it out when I get the time. :3 |
*gasps* No habla espanol? ...I don't know how to type the squiggly...*forgot what it's called* ~_~
I have to say I can't speak too much Korean so much it's easier now.... @Sarachuuu: HOMG YES. I'd love another watercolor postcard! <3 |
its called an...I know how to say it but not spell it. well, I thought it was me no habla espanol, but my brother said its not. its yo no habla espanol.
|
Accent markings? This link has accent codes for Spanish:
Spanish Accent Codes |
Tilde mark! ņ = alt+0241. Alt+0233 is the é. Which is used a lot in Spanish and French. I can actually read quite a bit in Spanish, and could probably talk enough in it to get myself where I needed to be. Especially if it is to the baņo. xD
Tori: O.K., tell me what character you want on the postcard. ;D |
hm, maybe I need to find a spanish study group since I'm skipping college spanish 1! XP its been a few years since nearly failed high school spanish.
|
@Sarachuuu: I suppose Aidan? One of the few characters with colored art and an outfit...though I might be changing it slightly to make it fancier. xD
|
Tori: Do you have anymore refs, then? Oo, what kind of fancy-pants-ness? :D
Kat: It probably wouldn't hurt! I think most Spanish 2 college courses generally use the first few weeks as a review and then go on to new material. That's how mine was (although it was like re-taking a year of one of my HS Spanish classes xD) |
I hope so. I tested out of spanish 1 so I'm hoping that means I know more than I think. of course that test was all paragraph long questions in spanish and spanish answers. I guessed the entire way by knowing like 3 words per question. I guess that's all I need to know.
|
You know, I've never done watercolor before. I would like to learn one day.
Hey, TK, how's it going out there in Korea? I just turned on the news and they're taking about it now, but I can't really hear it because I'm on the phone talking. |
Kat: Hm, a test is one thing, the class can depend on the teacher. There's a lot of... gosh, I forget the term, but words that are similar in both languages that you can make them out, even if you're not super up-to-date on Spanish? I haven't studied in years and I still remember a lot, though, so you probably do remember quite a bit more than you give yourself credit for. ;D
|
yeah, there are a lot of words that are the same in english. I remember when I was on the plane to London they have a program to learn basics of other languages so I did the japanese one and then the spanish to see if I still remembered it but it was almost too basic to know.
|
Kat: Yeah, they pick kinda obvious words for those tests/basic things. If they were asking about verb conjugation and stuff, that would be more useful.
Puri: You should definitely try them out! One has to be patient with them, as controlling water is nigh impossible; you just have to work with them. :3 |
@[email protected] I think I remember half the ways to conjugate verbs....Perhaps knowing that is all I need for now.
watercolors are hard...*whines* |
They're not any harder than any other painting medium, to be honest. Sure there's less ways to fix a mistake, but it's really easy to end up with 'mud' in acrylics and oils too.
|
well true. I think watercolors are easier than acrylics and I've never used oil. too expensive for high school to teach with. I'm only just starting to use wet mediums and color in general so yeah. usually I use watercolor pencils when coloring my chibis because they're a lot easier to control. I forgot that I don't know how to paint a decent background though.
|
Backgrounds can be hard, I tend to just do washes. xD But yeah, watercolours just really require patience. A lot of people don't want to give them that, though, so they tend to move on to faster mediums.
|
@neko: Election day is two days from now, so politics is abuzz right now. Nothing happening on this front though, as usual.
@CerCer: Hmmm, beyond a headshot...no...I have nothing new of him. T^T Well, there is an incomplete picture I have of him and another character...Not sure if it'd be of any use? |
Tori: Oooh, send it, send it! :D
Are they electing the president or just government positions? (thought it was too soon for presidential elections for some reason) |
hm...does it help if you paint the background before you draw the figure in the foreground? I'm not sure how it would work if you did a background first unless it was a simple wash...or like...I don't know.
