I saw a nice, large Bamboo tablet at the local Best Buy the last time I looked around, but the price was pretty high on it. I've heard good things about Bamboo, though, so maybe the price is worth it.
@Aryah: Yeah, I might dig that out and take a look at it later. But, do you remember where the program disc is for it? |
Hah! you'd love mine then, Kat. It's really not too big at all, and comes with an item you can use to hold the tip of the pen just above the surface of the tablet (for those times when you don't need to use the pressure difference created by not using the little thing), and it's useful for holding the pen when you're not using the tablet, too! :P
@Dimi: Not really, but it should be in one of those shoe boxes under the desk. *shrugs* I try to keep those things together. You may also be able to download the drivers (or at least an OS patch) online, if you can find the info for it somewhere on the tablet? |

Dimitri: I know the same size as mine is $99, and they have a larger size for more. It's supposedly less pressure sensitive than the Intuos, so I'd probably look and see how big of a price difference between the large Bamboo and the same size in Intuos is. :3 Kat: Small tablets are good! - as far as tablet's go though, I could never get used to the hand-eye coordination required... I much prefer my touch-screen laptop, which still has a degree of pressure sensitivity to it. Sooo much easier for me! :yes: |

@Aryah: Therein lies the other problem. It's hard to say if there's been a driver made to support Win7 for that particular tablet. Hadn't thought about that, for some strange reason... :sweat: @Sarasvati: Actually, I'm not sure if I saw that brand in the Best Buy. They actually didn't have that large of a selection of tablets last I looked. Dimitri: Most stores carry the Bamboo, from what I've seen (Bamboo and Intuos are both types of tablets by Wacom xD). I think you might be able to order them off of Amazon? If anything, a visit to Wacom's site couldn't hurt to just see the types of tablets. :3 I'll send you a trade in a moment with some gifts. :D Aryah: It's o.k.! I know where most of the stuff is now. xD edit Kat: The big benefit for me was that unless I drew all day long, my wrist doesn't hurt. Any drawings I did with the mouse always killed my wrist. That and I could hook it up to the left hand side so I could stop drawing with my right. |D |
