I mean forum based role playing. It did't work out becuase I am not good with following through on them, I don't have any characters (and don't really have the ideas to come up with any), and just generally have a hard time.

We don't keep a repertoire of characters at our disposal. Rather we make them up for each game we play in.

Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I just don't think it is my thing. *shrugs* It isn't a big deal to me, though. And I definitely have a hard time coming up with characters for a specific thing.

I understand it can be kind of difficult to get started if you don't have very good teachers. But it definitely isn't for everyone. It just some that we really enjoy--mostly because of the level of writing and planning that is involved. It lets up flex our creative muscles, so to speak.

I hope not. I know that only having regular access to one computer really limits what we both can do but I want to make it a priority to get a second access point to the Internet hooked up, however that is most feasible.

I miss our roleplaying regardless of the venue and genre, but I suppose I enjoy a little outside influence from time to time. The input of others.

I'll agree that I miss role playing with, say, the guild from WoW but it was also really stressful and all consuming.

Yes and no. Every now and then I like the chance to join someone else's game--where neither of us are responsible for Gming and can just have fun with our characters. Unfortunately, we have yet to find one witha high enough standard of literacy to suit us. I just can't do anything below literate and advanced anymore, apparently.

I don't think it's the supposed literacy of the game but rather the management style of the Game Master in charge. Too many of the GMs don't provide an actual plot and then expect their players to do the work for them. Most GMs provide a setting - well thought out at best - and no more.

Often times the players don't even have an interest in working together for the common goal but prefer to focus on their own character's advancement and glories.

These, I believe, are individual failings, as is the level of literacy. Nevertheless, I just can't seem to reconcile it. It is because of the lack of structure that I am afraid that the other RP we were looking at will fall flat.

I'm just not sure what we'll do while we wait for others to join. XD I am perfectly willing to try, though.

Does the idea of founding a charity together seem appealing to you?

I'm not sure. It would not be my first choice of activity. At least not until I have sufficient clothing. After that, I suppose, if i have more gold than i know what to do with, i wouldn't feel too bad about funding a charity.

What is "sufficient clothing" to you?

An outfit that I believe suits me. :P Specific enough?

Very productive, actually! We've been posting like crazy in our RP thread all day and have made tremendous progress in both of the stories we're writing.
