Holding double standards and being dishonest about it is actually a pet peeve of mine and it bothers me enough that there's a real possibility that I'd cut ties with someone who did it a little too often. Because of holding that opinion I make a concentrated effort to be honest about my double standards and to have a good sense of humor about the matter.
*shrugs* Elaborate! What was the feminist comment about? Curious minds inquire. |
Zombie just said something about another form of postmodernism having to do with feminism, that's all. Also I consider myself a feminist and initially when I started looking into feminist literature online I kind of was like... whoa, and all no no no against all kinds of things but I have learned since how to appreciate more subtlety, lol.
Ooh, I see now. I had totally missed C.Z.'s post.
What kind of literature did you come across first? Must have been some extremist stuff or something. Even I consider myself a feminist, although I don't mention that to most women (i'm afraid that it would cause more issues than it would solve).
Wah~! Deciding merits and flaws is such an onerous task!
Feel my pain. Feel it!
I am making lots of progress in creating a complex character here!
I know, you're doing so well. I hate how quickly the points seem to go, though.
If we scrapped the point system altogether this would be a lot easier.
Take a look at this: V:tM character creation process |
I like the presentation for that game and I agree about the point system thing, but, with VTM... i dunno, it seems easier for me to have concrete boundaries. We can always tweat after the chips are down to make sure things go the way we want them to, but... *shrug*
If we go with the original idea of filling out the character sheets for a 12th (13th?) generation Kindred and then adding points as appropriate do you think we'll be alright as far as the game is concerned? It's just that for tonight I think I'm done worrying over allocating the points correctly and would rather work on other tasks.
By the way, did you take a look at the list of milestones in my Menewshan blog? If you haven't, I'd like for you to. I know there was something else I was going to do tonight; do you remember what it was? |
I'm about to look at the blog now. i can't remember what else you were going to do, except maybe beat your nephew. <_<
I think I'm kinda done trying to allocate points for tonight, too. I don't feel like, for the main characters, it's really important to allocate points 100% by the book so long as their relative power levels are still intact. |
Yay! Tell me what you think of it when you're done.
I remembered what I was going to do - write up and post to the Menewshan blog the outline for the V:tM story. That's also what I was madly grinning about. I found a way to use the advanced editor and BBcode to create a proper outline. I'll get a A+ in English class for sure! :XD |
Lol, okay. I think your milestone dealy looks pretty complete. I'm not sure what you could add that would really matter to you. It looks good, though, and I look forward to you completing some of your goals (IE the OC art).
And now the story outline has been posted to my Menewshan blog!
Very elegantly written. I especially like the outline formatting (and the french ending). This seems to be plotted out very logcally and I won't have much difficulty believing it. Still not sure what to do about point system. Cardea needs many more points and Abbadon needs a few more. How to make it happen? Assume previous XP to spend? Or wait until end of this story, then spend XP? Do you even care right now or do we need to take this to K-town to work on?
I would prefer to take this to K-town to work on for multiple reasons. Unfortunately, it's looking like I'm going to require a binder for this instead of the normal notebook.
The notebook is getting rather crowded, that's for sure. Sent message to the shitty, previous ST and awaiting response. His life is now lolariffic (I couldn't help but poke around his profile and his girlfriend's profile. she would be hilarious if she weren't so serious).
He has a girlfriend? Also, power hour.
Sometimes, I find it hard to beleive that your mother played WoW on this computer. Incredible.
I know, right? But she did! Even harder to believe is that I played FFXI on the PC. :XD
This boggles my mind. I don't know how you managed it. Mayb e the itnernet wasn't as crowded then?
No idea but I'm fairly sure I had a lot more patience back then too. Sorry about the slow replies - I'm cleaning out an e-mail's inbox.
I have an e-mail with the BSU reinstatement paperwork, by the way. |
Oh. Weid way to send it, but okay. I'll not complain.
So, what do you think of this other VTM rp? Still interested, despite the obcious deficiencies? |
I'm still interested. I've been working on the character sheet off and on today when I can focus on it.
We need to figure out what we're going to do about applying for those jobs. Could we spend the night in a cheap motel or would it be better to just drive there and then drive back? Brb, restroom. |
