If I had a lot of money, I would have my own library, like in beauty and the beast... That library was seriously huge... o.o just imagine one like that... xD
Things like they'd nee to read to be able to fill out a job application. Even being unemployed doesn't free you from having to read, how would you read the forms for the food stamps?.
I think some people would ask to fill out stuff for them.
I loved that library. I've always wanted the same thing |
-nods- it would be epic. xD
people who can't read would have to fend for themselves. it's like those kids in 3rd world countries. some of them might make it, some not. =0
Yea that's what I would say.
It is epic. If I get a house of my own I will have a library |
sometimes I was wondering if people in so called third world countries will slowly have better genetics in their populations. Their high mortality rates act as a sort of eugenics weeding out some genes. People with less desirable genes have a greater chance of dying in these places due to less advanced medical care.
Well isn't that pretty much evolution weeding out the weak and all that?
a house with a library is always epic. =0 it's magical to have libraries in houses. =3
if it did weed out bad genes, it would make much sense because if everyone gets equally sick, it could kill off the good genes as well. Look at Africa and their large problem with aids. Almost more than half the population is infected. but then again, those could be people with weak genes. |
Well yes, there's two ways to go about it. Restrict breeding or increase dying basically.
Either way those with less desirable genetics are restricted from the breeding pool. One way they die and the other they just don't breed. |
-nods- it is probably true that it is happening. But we wont see the effects of it until a couple of thousand years from now... or more... lol which is a pitty, it would be interesting to see how it will effect the world...
yes that would be interesting to see. Wish I would be around for it
it would be kinda cool to see evolution that far in advance. Genes slowly being weeded out to a perfect race of humans....or something oddly overwhelming and just as cool.
I wish I could live a long time
haha xD 'perfect' isn't the right word I don't think, but unique and cool are good words to use xD and fascinating... Love evolution.
People in starvation prone countries who survive would end up with a better metabolism.
Actually this has somewhat already happened to a certain tribe and they are now more prone to obesity. |
There is never such thing as a perfect race but yes they would most likely be unique. There are always flaws somewhere
well yeah...i guess never will there be perfect, but i mean like genetically cloned or maybe a race of super humans....i doubt it would be like that but it's still kinda fun to imagine.
Yea its always good to imagine ^^
-nods- yeah, it's always interesting to think about what evolution may do to the human race over time.
@Claudia: which tribe? |
I'm probably not going to get the spelling right without looking them up, Havi supai sp?.
ah, never heard of them... so I wouldn't know if it's spelt right... lol
Yea never heard of them either but I also haven't really been keeping up with the third world countries
is that the tribe that kills outsiders unless they trade things with them? we watched a documentary on a tribe like that. they also had weird eating habits that kept their metabolism fast.
I would not be surprised if AIDS resistence developed. I did read about some prositutes that were less effected by AIDS virus already. Vague on the details though.
