How do some many people crack screens? I have yet to do that.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 12:55 PM

I don't know exactly how it happened. It wasn't even a solid chair, it was just one of thoes fold out ones. I walked into the corner of it and when I went to take my phone out of my pocket, it was shattered.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 12:58 PM

that's insane. -shakes head-

I usually kill the batteries on phones.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 12:59 PM

I do that too.
I am terrible for the life of technology.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:01 PM

Yes so am i, but amazingly my net book still has a decent battery on it.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:04 PM

I killed my old laptop entirely. It doesn't work unless it's plugged in a certain way. it's so hard to use it.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:05 PM

sounds like my desk top replacement laptop. I accidentally dropped it on it's side and made the connector part for the charger crooked xD

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:08 PM

It's probably worse. The bottom row of keys won't work and the charger itself doesn't stay in unless it's forced in. I've still got files and stuff on there that I just don't have the patience to get off it.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:09 PM

Sounds like you duct tape that to the computer and use an external keyboard to access things to get them off.

I'm so proud that I haven't cracked my phone screen yet. It's been a year and counting and I've dropped it so many times.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:11 PM

That would work, but the duct tape holds it at the wrong angle. It's a stupid angle that it needs to go int, so it won't stay in properly unless it's being forced in at all times.

What type of phone do you have?

---------- Post added 03-18-2013 at 09:13 AM ----------

You can't use duct tape to hold it in in the right angle? that stinks!

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:16 PM

It does. It's absolutely horrible. Most of my anime is still on there too.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:16 PM

You're anime is still in there? that would upset me greatly.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:18 PM

Most of it, yes. I've downloaded some new stuff, but it's annoying to get to the old stuff. I might see if it's the same kind of hard drive as my new one and just put it in there to copy from.

It's a hardly little thing!

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:20 PM

Yes, the Iphones are handy, but very easy to break.

You can do that with laptops?

Sleepy Anarchy 03-18-2013 01:21 PM

yeah, but they have physically smaller hard drives that desktops do.

Wow that sucks. I didn't have that exact problem with my old laptop, but I did with my first tablet. It was a good wacom intuos tablet and over time it got to the point where I had to wiggle the chord a certain way. Over more time it just stopped working all together. I have a little bamboo fun this time and it's much more reliable with its detachable chord. :3

Also hi!

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:23 PM

I think they should stop trying to "improve computers" and make the batteries better and prevent people like me from ruining the charging areas.

Ooooh, is the fun any good? I bought a Pen&Touch lately and I haven't really used it.

dessertdesiert 03-18-2013 01:25 PM

Hey Demoscout, it's nice to see you came back here :)

Same! Almost every week I see people complaining on Facebook about how they broke their phone screen.
tsk tsk
