Really? I'd kind of missed that.

No we didn't because we hadn't had a good frost yet. We wanted to though but we didn't want to risk getting any bugs from the rabbit

PapillonCameo 03-18-2013 04:03 AM

What are you working on Kat?

DJ- Oh I see ... I've never actually made rabbit stew, so I dunno what conditions are good

Kat Dakuu 03-18-2013 04:13 AM

I ate rabbit once. my uncle had it left over, so we ate it on sandwiches before my cousin's wedding.
I'm reading some articles out of a book called "Religion, Art, and Visual Culture" and I have to write short responses.

D.J. Dead 03-18-2013 04:14 AM

Cameo you don't want to eat any during the summer or any warm seasons. The rabbits carry disease like all natural born outdoors animal. You want to wait for the first frost of the year or if that one isn't really that great, you want to wait for a good cold snap. Any diseases that the rabbit might have been carrying is all taken care of because the body warms itself up to keep warm and kills the diseases.
I have never eaten/made rabbit stew but my parents have and are always telling me little things that help along the way.

PapillonCameo 03-18-2013 04:15 AM

My grandmother used to make rabbit stew all the time around Christmas time.

Lat- I'm doing a work safely course...

D.J. Dead 03-18-2013 04:19 AM

I have no homework to do. I have the next two weeks off [squee] but then I go back with a full schedule that gets one more class added after five weeks

Arriana 03-18-2013 04:19 AM

I've never had rabbit.

Is it good?

D.J. Dead 03-18-2013 04:19 AM

I would love to have a rabbit stew once in my life

Kat Dakuu 03-18-2013 04:27 AM

as far as I can tell, rabbit tastes like chicken. of course the rabbit I ate was mixed in with the chicken in 1 plastic bag of leftover meat.

D.J. Dead 03-18-2013 04:29 AM

Hmmm maybe my younger brother will love rabbit when he too has it for the first time one day. He loves chicken

Arriana 03-18-2013 04:32 AM

I guess a rabbit stew is the only way to eat it, cause that's the only way I've ever heard of anyone making rabbit xD

PapillonCameo 03-18-2013 04:33 AM

I've never seen it in anything else ...

Kat Dakuu 03-18-2013 04:39 AM

I didn't eat it as a stew. I just ate bits of meat as meat. I think technically we made sandwiches?

D.J. Dead 03-18-2013 04:39 AM

I believe if you get a big enough rabbit you could make a steak out of it too

Arriana 03-18-2013 04:53 AM
