Oh ok, I guess I was just fortunate to have a pretty good communal kitchen when I lived in a dorm.

well considering to live on campus you have to buy a meal plan it's not too bad.

Had ramen for dinner because all the restaurants were closed by the time I left work.

I suppose in that situation it's almost best to keep a collection of granola bars or something on hand in case you get hungry and can't just whip up something. I wish they would think a little bit more about people living in an area when they design dorms. : \

There were a couple of vending machines in the dorm back at my college where they sell instant noodles in them you could buy and cook up, though some of my dormmates hated it because the delicious smell woke and kept them up.

They don't care about us cooking, they only care about cramming as many of us in a building.

it's 75 cents for a package of ramen at school but if you go to walmart hey are only 20 cents a piece!

I'd probably hate not having access to a kitchen. My choises get a bit limited inresturants since I'm a vegetarian. But I guess it's better than nothing. I guess. :)

We can't cook, since the electricity used for the stoves (even the mini ones) or mini fridges or even the frickin' blowdryer would cause the electricity to jump and plunge the entire building into darkness. >__>

Well instant noodles is survival food :p
