xuvrette 03-18-2013 06:29 PM

*high five* We are so healthy and jumping around lifely. Let's dance for other people's health~ (reference from dance for rain.)
Tea is not an elixir... is it?

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 06:31 PM

I think it depends on the tea. I know ginger tea is super awesome for fighting viruses.

Yeah *dancey dance!*

hummy 03-18-2013 06:32 PM

xuvrette 03-18-2013 06:32 PM

I know ginger tea helps with cold... but not other illness?

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 06:38 PM

Ginger tea helps with sea sickness. Chamomile for nappy times.... uh... English Breakfast if you need to poo.

xuvrette 03-18-2013 06:42 PM

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 06:44 PM

Nephila 03-18-2013 06:45 PM

Hello there everyone. :)

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 06:47 PM

Hey Neph!!

xuvrette 03-18-2013 06:49 PM

I don't use internet to check on tea.

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 06:55 PM

I use the internet to check on everything. the way I see it is the internet is the best learning tool available, you just have to be discerning about what you read.

xuvrette 03-18-2013 06:58 PM

Have to filter information. DX
Internet sources could be misleading.

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 07:06 PM

True, and that's why you have to double check things and take them with a grain of salt.

xuvrette 03-18-2013 07:11 PM

a grain of salt? what to do with it?

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 07:24 PM

It's a saying. It means to not take it at face value.

xuvrette 03-18-2013 07:27 PM

oh lol. XD proverbs. XD
I am bad at those.

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 07:31 PM

Many proverbs don't make sense any more. Just no longer relevant. *shrugs*

xuvrette 03-18-2013 07:34 PM

oh lol. XD
You by any chance know what was that proverb's origin?

Lord Orpheus 03-18-2013 07:35 PM

Hello everyone... ^_^;

hummy 03-18-2013 07:36 PM

long time no see!
welcome!

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 07:36 PM

Hey Orpheus!

Mythos 03-18-2013 07:46 PM

Oh yay! Thank you, Maria! I'm excited about it and glad my mug is coming out well. xD

The "Grain of salt" phrase is suggesting that the use of one grain of salt isn't enough to do anything with and comes from a period where salt was mainly used in the preservation of meats rather than the seasoning of it... but because it was so useful in that means it was very expensive. In essence the phrase is suggesting that you might consider whatever it is before you are preserving for thought before you cover the rest of it in precious salt. : )

~LONGCAT~ 03-18-2013 07:50 PM

I think Myth got it. :3
