I have to agree, Demetri is rather good looking. [;)]

I haven't watched AHS either. I just haven't decided if I want to yet.

`Kitami 10-29-2016 03:28 AM

Yep, more NPC eye candy. [love][;)]

I just don't watch very much TV. I'm a nose-in-a-book kind of girl. [yes] Plus we only have Netflix anyway.

Shadami 10-29-2016 03:30 AM

i haven't even seen rocky horror show >.>

`Kitami 10-29-2016 03:34 AM

The new one or the original?
I'm a huge fan of the original one, I've watched it every year since I was 9.
The new one I haven't seen, because only Netflix. But I want to see it. I will watch it next June when I'm visiting my family. My mom recorded it with her DVR and she said she will save it for me until I visit. [lol]

Cora 10-29-2016 03:37 AM

The new one is very disney'd up. Anyone who is loyal to the original has been sourly disappointed.

Also Shadami that is Blasphemy. I demand you see it >.>

AHS is a decent show. I wouldn't say it is one of the best shows. It does seem to have a large-ish fan base.
I like how each season is completely different, but I don't like how outrageous it tends to be.

I watched most of RHPS many years ago. I had no idea there was a newer version of it.
Does the new version basically cover the same story as the original?

Cora 10-29-2016 03:41 AM

Yup same story. Its like SUPER new was only on last week or so >.>

I seen previews for the new one and I was immediately turned off by it. So I haven't even bothered watching it.

I second this! You must watch the original Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Cora 10-29-2016 03:43 AM

I gave it a chance. It was for lack of a better word, utter rubbish.

I have a feeling I won't like it unless I very clearly mark it as other in my head, like I have to do with movies based on books I like.
Like, I really like Laverne Cox. But you just can't beat Tim Curry, in my opinion. And I've been a fan of Adam Lambert since he was on American Idol so him as Eddie sounded neat in theory.
But I just have a feeling that with me its going to just be a case of "lightning can't strike the same place twice" since I'm such a big fan of the original...

Cora 10-29-2016 03:47 AM

Oh I love both Adam Lambert and Laverne Cox. But seriously, like...they took away most of the element of surprise and although they didn't take out all the very adult parts it still seemed to friendly and cute. Rather then the dark and twisted humor of the old one. Its very disney now.

blueblackrose 10-29-2016 03:47 AM

I'm kind of glad that I didn't waste my time on the new one.

M i n u x e 10-29-2016 03:49 AM

Wow that is very new. Now I don't feel so clueless for not knowing about it.

From what I hear it sounds like it isn't worth watching lol.

All this RHPS talk makes me want to listen to Time Warp.

Nephila 10-29-2016 03:49 AM

Ahhh and shopping complete until the EI's are out in shops. XD

*wonders if she should poke her bf that fell asleep*

`Kitami 10-29-2016 03:50 AM

Lol I'll let you know in June how disappointed I was, on a scale of 1 to 10. [rofl]

Nephila 10-29-2016 03:52 AM

I stopped watching that show around the 2nd season, no real reason just busy.

Cora 10-29-2016 03:52 AM

Hahaha, yeah don't let my little rant deter you. Sorry :D

`Kitami 10-29-2016 03:56 AM

I totally get it. Its sort of like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I wish I'd never read it. I'm pretending it never happened. I didn't like it at all. Like I'm super happy for the people who really enjoyed it, but it did nothing for me.

Cora 10-29-2016 03:59 AM

I haven't read it yet.

i know i know. I expected these responses but When i first heard of it i saw "Horror" and went nope nope nope. not for me. now yeeeears later i've heard its a comedy. and i just .. don't watch movies. Some day i'm sure someone will come over strap me to a chair and force me to watch it. (cause my friends know this is pretty much the only way to get me to sit still and just watch something)

that's the first bad review about it i've heard actually.

`Kitami 10-29-2016 04:04 AM

I think I'm in the minority not liking it. [lol]

I heard that book was somewhat fan fiction-y. I really loved the Harry Potter series, but I'm not interested in that book. Although, part of the reason why is because there aren't [i]any[/b] books on my 'to read' list at the moment.

`Kitami 10-29-2016 04:15 AM

It was fanfiction-y and not good fanfiction. (only my opinion.)
I've been reading mostly non-fiction history for the past year...I'm into it. XD

zeapear 10-29-2016 04:15 AM

Hey everyone!

Ooh, we talking about Cursed Child? I read it a little after it first came out, and so far I'm treating it like published fanfiction. Like, 'this is an interesting possible future' but not as definitive canon. :/ Like, there are lots of things in it that just make me go '????'

`Kitami 10-29-2016 04:17 AM

"???" was my reaction to a lot of it too lol.
