Also last year there was a really good set of shows aimed at the LGBT community (my clan woop!) called cucumber, banana and tofu. (named after the scientific study to find the closest textural objects to the various stages of male arousal). Over the three shows a really challenging and interesting perspective on 21st century LGBT life was shown. Of course it completely helped it was written by Russel T. Davies.
