At least he is going with you to the gym. Think of all those people that don't support their spouses.
Same here, Kit. Had my run of not going and it's only hurt me by not doing any exercise. Time to jump back into the routine and get my fat ass there. However, that will have to wait until after the event is done.

That's true. I've lost about 20 pounds since June. He's put on 8 pounds since August, which is what he's trying to do.
I actually enjoy working out. I get annoyed with my husband, though. He bench presses mostly. He'll lift a couple times and then walk around the rec center, come back and do the same. I do the bike and treadmill and then work out on the weight machines. I don't make a bunch of noise like him either. So, the whole time we're working out, he's constantly asking if I'm actually doing anything or pushing myself.
Mine counts his reps and I don't. He also lifts much heavier so he makes noise. I just sort of squeak if I push myself too hard.
I really enjoy lifting and thats about it. I dislike almost every other kind of exercise but I do it because I have to. Walking helps with my stress though so I guess that's nice.

Yeah I'm going to be really sore for a couple days. But I promised him I'd do my normal stuff tomorrow and also that I'd do my physical therapy for my ankle...I've been slacking on that for 2 or 3 days here. And I really really can't do that. I'm still pissy that I need physical therapy for this like 8 years after I broke it.

I do pretty much anything but elliptical and bench pressing. I'm up to 140 on leg presses. My husband's only at 200. I think I'm gonna catch up with him soon.

I've stayed the same weight for the past few months, a little fluctuation here and there, but now I need to jump back on it and really hit the weight loss train hard. No more eating when I am not hungry, no snacking on candy, cut soda out completely. Drink water and tea. So many little things that can add up to big losses.

Sounds like a long time to have to do Physical Therapy...especially on the ankle. Have you re-injured from the initial time of breaking it?

Michy, women have better leg muscles than the boys do. Has to do with my genetic make up and the fact that we birth children. Generally for leg presses I can do 300 pounds, three sets of 15 reps. Leg day can be a bitch sometimes.

Ah, that makes sense. But good God. It'll take me a while to get to 300. Now that you mention it, I can do a lot heavier weights with my legs than my arms. I'm pretty weak in the arm area.
Women typically don't have the arm strength that men do...we weren't the hunters of the group initially therefore we didn't have to lug as much weight.
Squatting hurts my left knee, should work on that a bit more.
Twisted both of my ankles in the past...the most recent was my left ankle when we were out for a walk a few years back. Had to get it wrapped and Percocet for the pain, best doctor ever. Had to take a pain pill just to make it up the three flights of stairs.
Left knee is from bowling and my left leg is my slide foot.
Mom text me, she wants us to go play golf the Saturday they are here in town. We've gone golfing with them before and it never fails, at some point my mom will snap at my dad about something he says to her on the golf course and the rest of the time with them on the course is filled with awkward silence. Hoping this time will be different.

Good, Liv. How are you?
Queen - What is a slide foot?
That is a good doctor. Most, at least where I live, don't want to give any kind of pain meds but ibuprofen. Even to my husband whose back is basically broken.
Michy Lea: I'm doing alright - tired and cold (although not as cold as I was earlier, I took a shower after we got the kiddos in bed), I went out by myself in almost rainy weather earlier to take the girls' trick or treating, my hubby stayed home to hand out candy. Not nearly as much as I was hoping would be given out. As I sit here eating some.
I may have bought all the stuff I wanted to eat as I knew we'd end up with left overs- I've been craving sweets like no other lately. Mostly Tootsie pops, and milk duds, Carmel and chocolate...
The girls got some good stuff too - we've not yet let them sort through it, so I can't totally tell you what you got.
My youngest seems to think it's 'Trit or Treat" Not trick or treat, so adorable!
Doing all right, Livi. Actually getting ready for bed. Eye lids don't want to stay open anymore.
Little kiddos trick or treating is just one of the cutest things ever to me. Kind of miss passing out candy. Hopefully we can rent a house somewhere that kids actually go out and trick or treat. Would be amazing!
All right everyone, I shall see you all tomorrow, hopefully. Gotta brush the teeth and skip off to dreamland.

Good night, Queen!
I love watching my niece around other little kids. She's a year old, and any time she sees other kids, she freezes in her tracks and stares at them before she walks over to them. It's so cute.
