you see... i've never done Christmas traditions before except decorating the tree with my grandma when I was 5-10 and than we didn't even really celebrate christmas after that.. So now that I'm married and Christmas is a thing for me again we're trying to come up with a tradition for our family. and advent calendar is one of them cause it's completely new to me cause my family never did that. and i think its a really cute idea. but i don't know what's typically in them and .. stuff.

5. Should you get stuck in a room and fall behind in the tour, it's possible to use your re-roll of the day to catch up. (i.e. Tour is in the Conservatory (2 rooms ahead of where I am at), my first roll is a 6, meaning I advance to the next room and re-roll is a 7, advancing me to the current room)

6. You cannot however, use your re-roll for the day to advance past the room that the host is in. No jumping ahead is allowed. Besides, you want to hang onto those re-rolls for the end.

7. Each room will have hidden treasures, everyone will get a treasure, only some will be better than others. (It's a game of chance, no whining)

8. Should you make it to the final room and you have re-rolls left over, there will be an opportunity to roll for a larger prize.

9. If by chance, there is only one person that gets to the final room, I will award a BIG Prize...the Captain's Hooch!

Roll a 3 - Prize is 300 gold
Roll a 4 - Prize is 400 gold
Roll a 5 - Prize is 500 gold

Shadami, my family does cinnamon toast and hot chocolate the morning of Christmas before we break into our gifts. Now that we are all older, it's more like Hot chocolate with Peppermint Kahlua or Peppermint Schnapps.

yeah this morning present time is new for me too. the only thing i have to wait for is the sleepyheads getting up. so weird!! growing up it was always HUGE FAMILY DINNER. than presents after dinner.

I've not heard of that hime.


And shadami - why don't you make up basic ornaments or craft projects and each day they can finish them, so it could be that you make a plan snow man ornament and they can finger paint on it or draw on it for example. and that way by whyen xmas comes you have a christmas tree covered in personal deocarations your family can look back on and treasure. And nearer to the date you could also put in a few special ones like a token that says 'a trip to the park' or 'movie night with mom' nice little activities to do together.

Doing all right. Switching out the office decorations from Halloween to Harvest/Fall stuff. Gotta keep up with the shifting holidays.
