The patrons there engaged him in conversation since he had an English accent. Clovis is in eastern New Mexico about 10 miles from Texas so the Texas twang is still prevalent in that region.

The patrons were joking with the waiter and he joked back. I couldn't ascertain the gist of their bantering completely, but the waiter did jokingly utter the phrase, "y'all".

very cool mr. wrong

I visited England in 1996. I noticed that the further north I went in England the more difficult it was for me to understand their speech. It was like the accent was thicker in the north and more like American English spoken in Pennsylvania the further south I went with a few exceptions among individuals.

I think that if England continued south as far as Marseilles, France, you would hear Englishman speaking as do most Americans.

What is making your day crappy?

zigbigadorlube 11-01-2016 04:04 PM

Work. Boss is raging and I got yelled at. I'm working my ass off already but that doesn't mean anything to her.

What's your bosses phone number? I'll handle her.

zigbigadorlube 11-01-2016 07:01 PM

Haha, I wish! She's a real psycho.

Inzanebraned 11-01-2016 07:50 PM

Psycho bosses only seem to pick on the hardest working and the nicest employees...
I think its because they know that THEY wouldnt be able to keep up the same work pace and are jealous of those who know how to work hard...Plus the "power" of being the Boss just goes to their heads and they become bullies.
I hope she gets off your case, Zig!

Well...trick or treating has come and gone...now it's time to ration the sweets so the kid doesn't turn into Evil Hope and make a bunch of poor choices to anger her parents! Lol!

zigbigadorlube 11-01-2016 09:54 PM

That does seem to be the case doesn't it Inaznebranded. Do you have a nickname I can call you by by the way?

ooo that is so cheap <3

zigbigadorlube 11-01-2016 10:56 PM

How much does it cost you to do it? Mine is for a small machine and a half hour of dryer time.

Some of my friends call me Izzy...I like that nickname.

When I was doing my laundry every week, at the laundry mat, I easily used $10 every time...but I was doing laundry for myself, 2 kids and a mechanic BF.
Now I only have Sarah's and my clothes...and some of Hope's clothes...and Hope's parents have a washer and dryer, so I get to do mine for the low cost of doing some household chores. Lol!

Okay! I will try to remember that. ^_^

Shadami 11-01-2016 11:49 PM

Well we can get one load done , washer and dryer for ... 3$ but one load does not get our clothes done. and that doesn't even count the beddings that need to get washed to get rid of sickness germs. but if we go to the laundromat its 16 quarters for the washer, and than 3 for the dryer. and sometimes we have to do a double load.

zigbigadorlube 11-01-2016 11:57 PM

Yeah so yours is cheaper it's just that you have more people so more laundry. Makes sense.

Shadami 11-02-2016 12:17 AM

i'm not sure its cheaper really. i mean its 16 quarters for The BIG washer. if we used the little one and actualyl seperated our clothes (yeah i know. the horror) it'd be alot more expensive. the one in our apartment building is $3 for.. well basically a load the size of two pillows.

zigbigadorlube 11-02-2016 12:35 AM

Yeah I don't separate my clothes. Everything goes in together. XD

Inzanebraned 11-02-2016 01:52 AM

Before I began staying with my daughter and her family, I was washing most our clothes in a bucket in the bathtub...wringing them out by hand!
Traveling to the nearest reputable laundry mat was an all-day event and the septic system and wiring at the house we lived in ccould not support a washer and dryer.

zigbigadorlube 11-02-2016 01:57 AM

I hand washed a lot of my clothes when I was living in France. It was much cheaper/easier than using the machines.

Connielass 11-02-2016 03:16 AM

I don't think I could do without the washer, but most of my clothes get air-dried, which reduces the amount of power used there.

I have not been on the mountain for nearly 2 months...but BF said they got 2 small groups of trick or treaters that visited the shop he works at.
The shop sits right in front of a small community that is nestled into the mountain there.

dragoness129 11-02-2016 06:06 AM

I do like washing clothes with a washer, but our well is low, so we might have to take them to the laundry mat to wash.
