If you can just turn your brain off, go "Holy crap, this is cool' and just watch Giant robots beat giant monsters up, It's worth a watch. It's not a plot based movie. It knows that it exists for people like me who can just sit there and enjoy big things, explosions and nice CGI.

It sounds like something my husband will love.
He still enjoys watching the old Godzilla movies.
He also like robots.

So what movies have either of you watched this year that you would recommend?
What movie actually surprised you because it was either better or worse than you thought is would be?

i dont know... i havnt been to the movies in a while. but we do have netflicks and there was this one though, stakeland. it was surprising good.

We have been to the drive-in a few times this summer, so we have seen a few things.
Also broke down & actually went to the cinema to see a couple of things to.

I thought the Lone Ranger was pretty good, I know it got bad reviews.
World War Z was better than I expected, I don't really care for Brad Pitt & I knew the movie didn't have a lot to do with the book. I'm glad I haven't got around to reading that book yet or I am have been really disappointed with the movie.
Despicable Me 2 was great. I love the minions.
Monster University was good, I never saw the first one, but think I will try to find a copy of it now.
Star Trek was great. I love that they rebooted the series. I always loved the television show & the movies.

I wish we had drive-in movie place around here. =(

The one closest to us is in the next county. It really need to have some work done to it. All of the speakers are gone & the screen needs to be repainted. We still go anyway & even bought a battery operated radio to take with us.

I'd love to go to a drive in, it sounds so fun.

*yawn* Well. I am quite a happy fanboy.

It is nice. I like it more when we can get other people to go with us to the drive in.
My parents never went, so I would go with my uncle & cousin.

Do you think we will be having a Celes paradi event this year, or is this summer event the replacement of it?
