I had a friend who moved just outside of NOLA. He went to Mardi Gras. I asked for a few beads. I got a box and a pin. I have sadly lost track of him.

I went down after mardi gras, it was late May, and still quite a bit of people and we had so much fun. I wish I spent more time down Frenchmen street but the people I was with preferred the highly tourist populated area of Bourbon street lol still fun though!

I am from Michigan. We could have one at the hotel that has the water park in my town.
