Welcome my friends to my Valentine's Party! I'm going for a completely laid-back option this year - want to know why? Well, here's my reasoning... Valentine's Day is one of the worst commercial holidays of the year for causing arguments! Girlfriends and wives expect to be pampered... and often sulk forever if they're not; boyfriends and husbands either forget entirely or resent being expected to produce expensive gifts just because it's Valentine's Day. So I'm throwing all that needless fuss out of the window and giving people the opportunity to relax and have some stress-free fun instead.

I'm not joking about relaxing either, for this event I'm opening up part of my family's mansion for the biggest slumber party that Menewsha has ever seen! So everyone is invited to dispense completely with any lovey-dovey business and spend the entire time chilling out in their PJs if they so wish, though I'm QUITE sure that there'll be plenty going on to entertain, there usually is. ;)

The excellent Yanyan13 has been kind enough to put together a floor plan for you, so that you know where you can and can't go, and important things like where the food and the bathrooms can be found. *laughs*

All right, here's what's going on in the opened rooms!

Games Room ~ In here you will find both a snooker and a pool table, several dart boards, and a very old and battered air hockey table. Also some equally antiquated casino gear; there's a roulette wheel and a BlackJack table and a number of card tables for anyone who fancies trying their luck.
Before you start worrying that I come from a long line of gamblers or anything like that...my father has a love for old gaming equipment, so we amassed a fair amount over the years, much to my mother's dismay!
Anyway! In this room there is also a well-stocked bar at the far end with a bartender to cater to your beverage needs, and ample seating for those wishing to chat in comfort.

Library ~ This is the designated time-out room really. Had enough revelry and fancy a bit of peace and quiet for a while? Then this is the room for you.

Main Hall and Foyer ~ These are not just areas to move through to get to somewhere else. Sofas and chairs have been added in small, intimate groupings, an ideal place to hang out and people watch as everyone circulates.

Dining Room ~ Food! And lots of it...hot and cold buffet tables catering for a wide variety of tastes. Also, seeing as this is a slumber party, we have a chef on hand ready to whip up your favorite breakfast dish, regardless of the hour!

Orangery ~ Years ago, this was used to grow tropical fruit trees, but not for the last few generations. The impressive domed glass roof and airy dimensions of this big room (it's a small hall really) make it the perfect setting for parties, so this has been the function room for any large gathering for many years. There's a stage at the far end and a beautifully sprung dance floor, it's like dancing on air! There will be live music throughout the event, with a DJ in between.
Around the dance floor and at the other end of the room there's plenty of comfortable seating, and of course another very well stocked and tended bar.

Sunken Garden ~ Fancy some fresh air? You are, of course, free to roam the whole of the gardens (try not to get lost or fall in the lake). But the sunken garden has shelter and seating, and the paths leading to it and the garden itself will be prettily lit with lanterns whenever it's dark.

So come on in everyone! No miseries this Valentine's, just fun!
