I feel similarly to Rainy. I feel that everyone should give love to people every day, and they don't need to buy cards, flowers and candy on a designated day to do so.

I don't dislike the holiday, mind, but I don't actively expect things during it. :3

I agree that for the most part, Valentine's is a bit too commercialized. =/
Heck, even when I was in a relationship, I didn't get to see my S.O. too often, and anytime we did see each other, it seemed like he was always wanting to spend time together, being 'intimate' whenever we were alone.

@ Ry: If it hadn't been all the time, that would have been one thing, but it seemed like every single time his dad was out for the weekend, he was urging me to come over to 'spend time together.' Eventually, we went our separate ways, just over a year ago. I still keep in contact with him a bit, as we were friends first, but it's not the same. There's mostly history between us, rather than any current relationship of any kind. =(
