Miro, I think they do it by whatever the trend is at the time? I don't know what the current trends are so I can't say.
Cora, I would make my own clothes if A) I had a better technical ability, B) menswear wasn't so hard, and C) if I were skinnier. |
In the city I live in, we have two Walmarts. One has gotten rid of the fabric section and the crafts part has shrunk majorly. The other still has the craft and fabric section, but there is hardly someone there running it.
@ M i r o: I know. I sort of have mixed views about animal fur, though. In our society, I feel there is no need to kill animals just for their furs. But, I have no problem with others that their only source of warmth and clothing and food. I think there is a difference. I mean, we just us it for the fur but that is food, clothing, and tools in just one. |

I also make my husbands clothing....and my childrens. ^.^ I learned to sew 18 years ago so for me its not really hard *shruggs* |

Cora, I'm not as big as my weight suggests, but its really hard to shop for stuff that I like because its not made in my size. I would love to get down to a much smaller size just so I could make shopping easier. And then yeah, getting better at sewing would be a good thing for me. Then I'd start making clothes for myself.

@Marquiess- you have horses? @Seiki- my size is mostly why I make my own clothing. I have a really long torso and short legs....and over weight...really misproportioned. Makes it hard to buy clothes off the rack o.0 |

I would love to sew my own costumes! I think I might try sometime. I am really good at hand sewing blankets though. lol.

I love horses, my grandmother used to own stables and I would go out every weekend to ride my favorite horse through the woods.
Cora is heading beddy by now though. She finaly earned her goldies and its 1:30am....she is beat. |
I think that I'm pretty evenly proportioned as far as the lengths of my body. But I'm definitely bigger in the torso weight wise. I exercise and eat right, but it doesn't go away. My ultimate goal is to flatten out eventually and drop 2 shirt sizes at least. Not even going to say pant sizes haha.

I don't like real animal fur in any clothing or accessories that I wear. I love animals, I keep pets; I don't eat MEAT-MEAT. But I'm not a vegan or a total vegetarian. The only meat I eat is crab, shrimp, tuna and chicken. Although, that doesn't mean I'll deny people of what they like to eat. xD Anything involving animal is such a big argumentive battle along with war and poverty. That's why I try to stay away from politics to stay neutral. |

Thanks. Cami was teasing me about how I don't do well with themed or simple avatars and she said this thread was where we're supposed to show off our kinky avatars and well, I decided why not do 80s hooker for kinky and this is the end result haha.

I, myself haven't ever saw 20 items less than what you usually use to layer with. @ Marquisse; Some people have been saying that Queen's been updating the creator but nothing so far. Inso's going to be working on making one kinda like tektek's. @ sjacklene; I never tried processed food...now that you mention that, it scares me! lol Yeah--real meat makes me ill because I don't eat it anymore. xD The smell of taco meat makes me barf... which is why I'm glad my mom and my brother don't make it anymore. I never ate it, but I couldn't venture out of my room once they made it. :cry: |
