I think stories of dragons were based on dinosaur bones that our ancestors dug up.

@Aemilia: I think she meant that she reads Greek mythology LIKE she drinks chocolate milk. As in, a lot of it.

@Granny: I don't believe in little green men either.

@Wings: Dang it! I was going to bring up the dragons. *Pout* Lol.

same here granny, not faith in the little green men. aliens yes. alien abductions and crap not so much. I believe the 'aliens' that live on other planets are just as clueless to existence of other 'aliens' as we are.

I was going to bring up the same point, Aemilia.
I think that much of the Greek stories of dragons were because of the dino bones.

And yes, some of the dinosaurs would have looked like dragons.

That would be cool if it was the reverse and we find the ancient world really had fire breathing dragons. Somehow I doubt they were firing breathing, but it's a cool thought.

Don't worry. We all do that every now and then  .

-------------------------

I don't know that -all- of the aliens are unaware of our presence, certainly some of them are, but not all. I don't, however, think that any of the species aware of our existence would go around abducting us.

-------------------------

Did anyone hear that they think they found a skull on Mars? I think it's ridiculous. *Posts picture*

fine Wings, but we have technology to know if something is in the lake.

skull? humans just have an amazing ability to see shapes in anything. its part of the perceptual mechanism in our brains.

It does look like a skull, but I doubt that it is.
There would be many many more bones around.

Yes, Kat. We put our perceptions on things, and see shapes that are not there.
Much like the Face on Mars that was seen with one of the earlier orbiters.

To me it looks like it could be just rocks. As humans we see faces in abstract objects.

I'm inclined to think the Loch Ness is real. They would have to do a TOTAL search of Loch Ness at one time, instead of driving around in a little dinghy with a sorry little radar gun. I just think they've been unlucky thus far.

the skull is a rock I think!

It just seems far fetched that a strange creature like nessy would be in a lake and the guy who took that one picture that people use as proof he later admitted was a fake.

I believe that there is life on mars but I don't think it's develped thus far. I believe that picture is a highly convincing skulll shaped rock.

i also believe in nessie and in chupacabras.

it's a bit absurd, I think it's a rock... But imagine how cool it'd be if it's real? : D Soon we'll have district 9 here..

I have had the thought that we originated on Mars, and evacuated to Earth when we totally wrecked the climate on Mars. Then we lost our technology, and essentially took the earth away from the Neanderthals.

Yes, there most definitely is water on Mars.
Most of it is at the poles.

I believe that there is some microscopic life on Mars now.

I did not hear that they found water on Mars. They found it on the moon, though.

I think it's a rock too. Human brains are trained to search out faces in everything they see. I doubt that it's actually a skull. It's too malformed.

@Granny: That's an interesting idea. *Becomes paranoid again*

Really, water on Mars? Huh.
